Oh yeah and OKW needs a complete overhaul.


It's not just about gren.
Even if you make gren into obers with pre-nerfed LMG34,

it's NOT going to win you teamgames vs
1. Rain of death indirect fire,
2. british Snipers,
3. Cloaked Commandos that can ambush you
4. Cheap as fuck Brit Engineers (seriously, the reinforcement cost is wtf?)
4. some of the best British tanks + Anvil SUPER REPAIR speed.

I've been top 100 with OKW only in 1v1's, rest which are ranked (some hidden since I've stopped playing 1v1's for a moment) were at 300's. I seriously didn't had that much of a rank increase because of LeIG's, perhaps that's because I was in top 100's in which people learn to adapt quicker than other levels. But I've to disagree with points that things are L2P. We're not in tot 100's (lets say that people from top 400 know how to play) for a reason. It's just that allied units got buffed without the axis parts getting some buffs or better called adjustments. Now you get roflstomped by almost every infantry group.

It's the verry reason for wich I stopped playing Ostheer and now, as Axis, I'm exclusively playing OKW and choosing solely between the 2 doctrines that give me at least that so necessary Mg34.

This did COH2 balance right now. Force me to play with 2 doctrines while Axis. :facepalm:

It's speed and ability to easily crush infantry units extends it's utility being capable dealing with infantry just as good as medium tanks. Whenever I use this unit I accumulate a lot of infantry kills. It's not comparable with real tank destroyers like Jp4 and Su85,since those can not deal with infantry. If use the m10 merely as a tank destroyer and not additionally as a excellent counter harassing unit you do something severely wrong.


Without that crush feature I would agree with both of you.


I agree with you the crushing it absolutely dumb! not sure why they wanted to keep it like that, maybe giving use a bonus to keep up with axis later game units, even though the game has changed a lot and USF got so many questionably options (rifle company; flamer rifles, or old vet2 rifles in the beginning of the game, being one).

Fortification is really nice since the Pak 43 really slaughter armour.

Also Falls are quite decent, last week I got 2 falls to vet 5 in a really quick time. Maximum of 6 minutes. Put them in houses with 4 windows. Let those cheeky basterds walk past it and rape them completely. Should help them enough.

The funny part about OKW is that the stock infantry, obers. Perform marginally worse for their cost compared to doctrine callin units like jaeger light infantry or even fallshimjagers.

Plus, falls come with mg34s...

wmms falls are pretty weak and they come with fg42...obers are just plain terrible okw imo just need a complete overhaul and the xpensive specialist should perform much much much much much better
including heavies like kt and jadg

falls have more utility than obers.

Their fausts have saved me from many USF light vehicle rushes; and they only cost 38mp to reinforce.

Whether obers have more dps than falls is debatable. Actually, I'll go test that right now.

I personally think that mainly the infantry section needs an overhaul, since most of the tanks are good for the cost you pay for them. Perhaps some need some minor buffs, like Pz4 penetration buff. But armour is in my opinion fine. Infantry and them for the volks and missing the MG34 is terrible since you can't do shit and have to get a doctorine with it.

Pz4 is in a good spot, not too good against armor and pretty ok against infantry(though it comes down to RNG letting you hit sometimes).

Also, after testing obers and falls. It looks like obers have more DPS at long range but falls have slightly more at mid. At CQC, falls just kill things way faster than obers can; and I did this experiment while giving the obers the lmg34.

I had a well thought out and constructed post for you..but my rage at firefox for going back in the browser when I hit backspace INSIDE my text box has erased that. First off Axis did not have a field day, at least dating to about 4 patches ago. Second of all the OP is talking about 2v2 here. Third of all, if you're saying the large team games are fine now and playing axis I believe the term is masochist. The synergy dynamic allies can create right now is awe inspiring. You see planes coming in, churchills breaking throguh backed by jacksons, artillery offmap smashing the defense good, and mixed allied infantry over taking the axis infantry. It's like the end days of ww2. The allied combined arms is great. Now we need to get axis in its own flavor of that level.

P.S. How about a constructive post instead of a (stop crying l2p relic did a great job hur hur) post.

Ostheer v Soviets in team games is still a good matchup.

Team games are just a trollfest now that there are brits. When you have Soviets, USF, AND brits against one or both flavors of German, the disparity between sheer amount of strategies and options becomes pretty obvious.

Relic advertised the Brits as 'Two Factions in One' which puts the Axis fighting, in team games, against a vastly more versatile and flexible force than with just the Soviets and USF alone.

When there's no Brits, there's really not a broken matchup in team games.

Nobody ever cared for that for reasons I mentioned countless times. 3vs3+ are won by the fraction with the bigger playerbase because better elo.

The only game mode where there is a huge difference in win rates is 2v2. In that mode, the to 200 axis players have less than half of the games played compared to the top 200 allied players (all factions combined). This skews the win rate for the same reason that 3v3+ can get skewed. If synergy was the cause, why don't the 3v3 and 4v4 win rates show the same pattern?

Many of the axis players on this thread were really good at using the platitudes before (l2p, l2adapt, allied units just look cooler, shouldn't play with randoms, people want to be the good guys, search rates don't mean anything, etc). Why aren't you using platitudes now?
