Played a 4v4 vs 4 Ostheers who had this general, endgame became unplayable, whole map on a constant lockdown from these planes.

Its actually on multiple commanders.

Just not the cas one, which is what you're talking about. Player just had good micro.
even in a 4v4, no players is spamming a 240 muni ability.
If they have the map control to do this, they you'd already lost regardless of commander, and just didn't realise it yet.
amassing more than one of these, is quite difficult.

And in CAS, every ability is almost impossible to land, barring the stuka bomb, which is only easy in a 4v4 because of confusion, you'll rarely hit something in a 1v1.

Easy solution:

1.Get a Soviet Sherman or a USF Sherman, (Brits have the COMET)

2.Upgrade the top mounted mg,

3.Now you have good AA in every situation of the game, and they also shred infantry :snfCHVGame:

Comet don't have top MG dude, for Brit unless you go Centaur Stuka loiter will rekt you hard, Soviet Sherman is doctrinal and their quad HT is very vulnarable to Stuka, you might as well use the IS-2's Dshk.

It should only target vehicles imo. Its an ANTI TANK strafe after all.

keep your AA in the base for it to just shoot down enemy loiters. at most theyll get 1 pass with each plane before getting shot down, and thats 200 munitions down the drain for the enemy player. same goes for typhoons and p47s, get AA to hard counter these expensive abilities, its definitely worth it.


This would mean getting a lieutenant, captain, major, AA halftrack, in a 1v1, and leaving the fuel-expensive AA halftrack in the base. Have you ever pulled this off against a similarly-skilled opponent?

I just tested CAS to see if it changed in a test 1v1, can post replay if needed.

First call-in -- First pass - knocks out AA gun, almost kills AA halftrack, eventually kills Stuart and rifle squad in green cover... USF can't leave base on Langreskaya, and even base is unsafe.

Second call-in - First pass kills AA halftrack, "loiters" back to base and almost wipes out rangers in base, comes back to wipe full health captain in yellow cover, almost wipes rangers in yellow cover, nearly kills Sherman in base...Again base-pins USF for 200 munitions

I don't mind this "skill" in larger game modes but it really affects 1v1's in a negative way, like the old B4, Churchill croc, etc.

Why is it that hard to build AA weapons in late game and make it stay away from the air-strike range? All factions have relatively reliable AA weapons that can shot down the planes in 20 seconds.

It should be a basic knowledge that Axis should prepare for P47, typhoon while Allies should prepare for Stuka in late game (from 2v2 to 4v4).

For AA HTs they may be better to stay in base but they are cheap. For Centaur and Ostwind they can fight in the front and pull back in time when the planes come.

It's a much better version of the P47 rocket call in for a cheaper price. It's more accurate compared to P47 Rockets and it targets both vehicles and infantry. It does more damage on target per pass and you can hardly dodge it. It even has a chance to stun vehicles making it almost impossible to run for escape lol/
