US major artillery call in

the artillery is too expensive. Not only does it give the axis a warning smoke, but the shells take ages to finally come down.

It should be cheaper, like around 90 munition.

Yeah compared to the british arty which cost less it's crap.

A lot of abilities & units have to be reevaluated/redesigned to bring them in line with the new british abilities and units.

I think it should be something like Spearhead light arty, same price or even cheaper because of the risk. If they simply buff it, it might be OP and right now it's shit. A light arty will help to counter PaKWalls.

While true, the Major's managed to be very overpriced crap long before the UKF.

You can get vet 2 with one bombardment since they fixed the messed up min and max numbers on it. Also there is a 5% cheaper bulletin that stacks :snfPeter:

Just one thing, all artillery comes with warning smoke unless there is one I'm not thinking of. The question is how long is delay because so many of the off map artillery, bombing runs and dive bombs have such a long delay that only a brain dead player won't have noticed it and started moving all his units away

To be honest the major arty shouldn't be an arty strike. Given the ironic lack of Air the USF has access to in it's doctrines it should be an infantry strafe for 50 munitions functionally identical to the German stuka suppression strafe but with less suppression more damage. (The 50 muni cost is because it would still have the same range as the arty).

This way the major wouldn't have a redundant ability. Seriously, I know the US had lots of arty but nearly every commander has some form of arty combined with "Artinfantry Company" the major, the pack howie and M8. They need some god damn versatility in their support abilities.

Imo it needs less scatter or something, way overpriced for this.

Major needs a redesign. Make ambulance a retreat point once you tech to t4 and just give him some close range abilites.
