That armour is way too high, it's survivability would be insane, since you can only penetrate for 50% of the time.

Considering the game's other "meatshield" tank (the kv1) is still in a state of uselessness, I don't really see churchill surviving the nerf.The gap between Churchill and KV1 is not a precarious subtlety hanging on a knife's edge. There is plenty of room to ultrabuff the KV1 and ultranerf the Churchill and still have Churchill be the better tank.
As soon as the B4 203mm got nerf the entire doctrine fell out of meta.
This being Relic, though, they are not really known for middle ground approach...

And considering recent relic answer on the KV-1 issue, I don' really see churchills getting any nerfs in the near future, on the contrary, KV-1 might see a hp increase, possibly at the cost of speed, which would make sense.

Concerning the regular Churchill,
I really don't see what the huge fuss is about. The majority of its cost is basically for an armoured shell with a peashooter on top. Plus attacking it feeds your units some crazy vet, which is something a lot of people conveniently forget to mention. And a Churchill with an engine crit is a dead Churchill 90% of the time as well. It's just a damage sponge, nothing more.
The Croc, well, I'm not entirely sure what to think about how it could be better balanced. I guess a reduction to 1280 HPs could balance it a bit better?
they need to stay a meat shield and i wouldn't nerf the churchill main guns at all but the croc needs a little reduction in damage because it fires so far and wipes AT guns in no time at all that AT guns aren't even a soft counter, they are no counter at all.
