This is, admittedly, a very early assessment and a bit of a rage post, but I'm going to call this thing ridiculous. It's absolutely unkillable with any sort of infantry (talking Ostheer here). You can't Panzerfaust it and it doesn't die to a single Pak shot. Meanwhile, its damage output is nuts and it can chase down retreating squads very, very easily. It's basically the clowncar with double the range.

So, in other words, you're forced to go T2 and get a Scout Car just to deal with this. That, in turn, limits your flexibility (no T3 rush) and saddles you with the crappiest light vehicle in the game.

flame damage will be halved next patch, this also refers to croc, it's range is ofcourse too OP, longer than flamer HT or KV-8's but i dunno, croc flame range is actually logical (it had like 100m range in reality)

I've used it in the balance preview mod. It is still extremely strong as far as I can tell- if I hadn't read the patchnotes I wouldn't have known there was a difference.

It may be strong but its easily killable. Fast 222 will end it. Bait it somehow and its all but dead if fausted.

Luckily, it does come out at or around the same time as a 222, so just use that. If you kill it, he'll be set back 15 fuel and 90 munitions.

And what do you do in the meantime??? The allies can cache and cap the map while you wait for the upgrades and fuel for a 222. If you cache it runs offf your units and kills the cache..just more MP bleed that is unrecoverable.

To be honest the timing of getting T2 built and having 90 muni vs having a 222 up isnt that differnet. Also you can bait it at any point in the game as long as you have T1 up.

So far ive not had an issue fausting them, if you bait it with an mg42 in a house or something, then flank it, 2 fausts kill it.

You should have 222 about the same time as wasp. Considering that the faust IS a hard counter to it anyway, these are L2P issues.

Play as brits, get a wasp, and get too close to some grens. Let me know what happens.

No idea where you get the notion that the 222 is the crappiest light vehicle, vet 2 and spotting scopes gives it insane vision, and the auto cannon just killing one infantry section model is basically 35 manpower and a trip back to base for healing. In any case, the window for the wasp to do actual damage is only a few minutes before 222 comes out, and fausts can ward off any potential squadwipes. (Well unless you're one of those guys who like to spam assault grens, then you kinda deserve it) Not saying wasp damage is too good, just saying its only potent if you micro it well enough.

I'd happily trade extra durability in the bren for a small wasp range reduction. It might need an MG buff too actually.

Wasp is the only worthwhile upgrade and its amazing while it lasts then completely obsolete on account of how vulnerable it is. Glass cannon to the extreme.

It's a high risk, high reward unit. If you want to rush it you are foregoing the healing on Tommie squads. Even then the thing doesn't scale after about 1-2mins on the field.

The only problem is it kill way too fast, range isn't an issue but damage his. At this point of time, you don't even have time to micro anything, models die in a matter of seconds.
