Were guards nades nerfed in a patch and i didnt see it?

Back then, the guards nade seemed to be the best nade in the game with the PG nade. It was worth the 45 ammo.

Now the nade seems to be even worse than the shock nades and rifle nades and they cost what? 35 ammo?

They used to be squad crippling or wiping machines now you're lucky to get a model or two.

I dont even feel like its wortrh using the guards nades and its just a waste of ammo.

Any thoughts?

I feel in general, cover or not they dont do much.

The only time it destroys infantry i feel is when they are in red cover but obv everything dies like that.

I'll go check it out, If I remember correctly they are very similar to the Pgren's bundle nade.

Having grenades do less damage to units in cover is ridiculous, as they were specifically used to assault infantry in cover. Facepalm.

Yes, but this is a game and we need mechanics. Why implement cover if it doesn't shield you from things? Facepalm.

Green cover and correct positioning = 50% damage
Everything else = bunch up units waiting to be wiped.

I dunno what's going on in your games, I'm still seeing wipes most of the time whenever an RGD-33 gets a squad in light cover.

This nade is still pretty effective from what I recall from my last game; still costs 45 munitions but is very similar to the bundle pgrens nade.

Yeah, guard nades seem to be very RNG/low damage
