M4 Sherman needs cost decrease

The Sherman is at least playable. The Crommy is 10 MP less, and has just worse AI, AT, and survivability. After the fat nerfs, its just brutally out-classed for... reasons.

The speed advantage that the cromwell (and any other similar allied tank) has is the speed, so naturally all the axis mediums you'll face have the almost exact same speed, and get a SPEED boost at vet 1, negating the whole advantage you might have.


But i have personally witnessed the doom of a ferdinand user whose army died before the heavy TD went to the frontline, coincidentally my cromwell was fully repaired and would rush behind the ferdinand, chasing it across the map and eventually killing both it and a walking stuka, ending the game. Maybe dissing the poor thing just isn't worth it

Use the AP then. Sherman AP shell has better AoE profile than the cromwell.

You don't understand, Sherman HE shell is a poor's man shield. I personally don't think it is that better than the P4, in some specific circumstances probably but anytime a P4 is nearby and you don't have an Atgun close-by then the P4 is better because even if it deals a little less AI damage its a threat to anything with the same type of shell and superior survivability.

So at the end, every time the P4 is fielded the P4 is better.

Look at the top players, what do they spam every time they play Ostheer once they reach T3, the P4 and then call-in a Tiger. What are they doing when they play USF, 2xSherman76 with maybe 1 M4A3 and then Jackson.

Statistically, on paper, the sherman is great vs infantry but its an overkill to mask the reality that the tank deal poorly in any other aspect of the game and at the stage it hit the field what you need is something consistent on which you can pivot your infantry, not an overkill AI tank that translate terribly into the late game because of its inexistant survivability vs late game units unlike the P4 that will continue to pose a threat to the Jackson, Firefly or Su-85.

If in your opinion PzIV is thread to Jackson you are simply doing something wrong when playing the game.

It's why they don't have the kind of results people expect. Get into an area that isn't cluttered though, you're going to land a magic shot eventually.

Sherman is overpriced though. I'd rather the price stay the same and the machine improve, though.

And AT guns will continue to pose a threat to a Katyusha for the same reason!!! Buff Katyusha please!!

Sherman is fine. 110F for best HE shells of any medium, MG upgrade, best moving accuracy modifier, versatile smoke dispenser and gets decrew. Go urban assault and buy dozer upgrade and you get 215 armor and 720 HP. Can trade handily with OKW p4s with that upgrade for cheaper fuel price.

Don't forget the WP shells the dozer brings.
