So you want to have more options at the start of the game. You want rangers. Why do you think having rangers at the start, meaning 0cp right away, is a good thing balance wise?

I believe rangers will be added later in the form of some commander, but an early game unit? dont think so, man

It would be nice to have something like a "Weapons Company" Commander with a USF Sniper Health of German Sniper RoF of Soviet, M1919A4 Tripod Mounted 30. Cal, and a 81mm Mortar all at 1-3 CP basically having CoH 1's Weapon Support Platoon building tied in.

Perhaps even have Assault Engie's thrown in as a tier 0. Sure it wouldn't scale well, but it'd make for a very different USF for fun games.

IMO biggest USF issues are lack of indirect fire, maintaining field presence without Major, and lack of infantry AT weapons.

Buff the ambulance speed so it can quickly slip in and reinforce troops for another round, give the Americans a mortar, and make the Bazooka actually worth the munis.

Not entirely sure what context the word "meta" us being used in...or what it means, but you sound like you know what you're talking about. Lol.

I'm pretty sure "meta game" means the most commonly used strategy/build order by players with faction.

I am of the school of thought that all of the heavy weapons should be in tier 0. And should be unlocked with the first officer purchase. Who ever mentioned that in this thred, Iam with you.

Now, for the meat. I think after you buy let's say Lieutenant, you have the option to buy Lieutenant's men. A squad of 5, with the same weapons as the Lt. himself. They are expensive to reinforce and buy. 340 mp/ 36 mp respectively.

They would take the vet of riflemen and ability changes to make them less utilitis. Specialists.

Same for captain. take away all abilities and add rifle grenade.

Major, Iam a bit spilt on this one. and really it depends on what relic wants to do with incoming us commanders. but.... ranger equivalent ; or a sergeant. which would be like a scouting officer. flare, Springfield upgrade. binoculars or something.

You can buy as many as u want of these guys, but if the officer is dead they become locked.

Maybe, maybe not. tell me what ya'll think

a Grease Gun upgrade for REs might help. New starting strats for USF is welcome, but not with commanders. Core faction design is very restricted.

It would come down to an argument whether the real idea is in the title or something in the post. In the end YOU might be wrong, maybe the headline was the correct info after all. All it takes is another "just kidding" to turn it all around.

I am too lazy to read all this but I have to say:

If US support weapons (.50 cal, Pack Howitzer) were more viable, that could help :D

The combination of infantry and support weapons, plus tactical positioning involved in making them advance are some of the most interesting mechanics in the game. Relic should encourage that!

It helped OKW that 'support' units got more attractive (ISG price reduction, Kubel). That's my opinion.

I'm OP. The title was a joke...meant to piss off all of the axis loving fanboys (not my best idea lol). HOWEVER, USF is lacking a little and rifleman bore me...so I wanted to ask if Relic planned on adding any additional units so I could actually not be forced into building riflemen like they're on sale or something. Lol.
