So, understanding how the molly is balanced is a great way to explain what is wrong with the rifle grenade.

The Molly's drawbacks actually merrior the benefits of the rifle grenade.

Molly is easy to see coming because of the range; as it's been noted, the enormous range of the rifle grenade makes it difficult to see coming. This is a benefit.

The Molly's locked behind side tech. Costing fuel. Making its appearance inconsistent. The rifle grenade is available almost immediately and consistently used. Molly set back vs rifle grenades benefit.

The Molly's no timer is offset by how long it takes to kill everyone. That is what is balancing it. The rifle grenade kills instantly. The the time you get before the molly full damage is applied is the time you are given to react to it, that's if you don't see it coming. The rifle grenade has nothing like this. Nothing like what makes the molly balanced.

The rifle grenade is bridled by nothing. Has no offsets, is easy to access and use. Its not even particularly expensive. And can be used against a variety of enemies. And is great on buildings as like just a plus.

Iam going to mention again, there is nothing here to show that this mainline unit needs an elite unit ability.

By far one of the best features in the game, can be countered with good micro.

Things that take no good micro to use and only good micro to avoid should be reserved for units or ability's that you earned and the enemy did not, and are thus being punished for it. Not for a faction that you choose and they didn't.

There is not a good reason I see here for mainline infantry to have a ability to surpass elite infantry ability's of the the same type.

Additionally what your saying is anyone who has ever gotten there squad wiped by a rifle grenade has bad mico? Or is having bad micro that game? Is that right? I don't agree with this.

What youre saying is no one should have a chance to doge something they didn't see coming? The timer is on the unit its going to blow up. It would only be useful if the person who is watching the unit it that is being naded. Only to a person who is paying attention can this change be effective. A person who is microing effectively.

Despite recent trends this game is meant to be exciting and have things that kill things in them.

One shot squad wipes are why people get frustrated. And it's not a tank or a big piece of artillery. It's on infantry that you get from the start of the game. Its not behind side tech, or behind vet, you surmounted nothing to get it. You don't have to do anything extra to achieve this ability or to even use it. And no other unit or faction has it. The wiping of squads should be awarded to the person that earns it by micro or resource management.

Hey people this thing is a bit of a Problem. For high level players as well as us common folk. There is not a good reason for there not to be a detention timer. The reason to have one is the same reason all grenades have one. To give the player a chance to counter and react.

If you guys have a good reason that this thing should stay the way it is I would love to hear it. But give a reason why it should be better than elite infantry nades. Like shocks is just a strait up nade with a short timer. Same with paratroops. Same with rangers. Why do they need this? Is it because they have a weak anti infantry upgrade? Or because there upgrade's are locked behind side tech? Or because the anti tank ability's are not in line with the rest of the mainline foray. Or because they don't have access to good early indirect fire.

The only thing that the Grens lack is Manpower. But are incredibly efficient non the less. And all of there other attributes more than make up for this.

The rifle grenade should be removed or Nerfed to include a timer and for the love of god less damaging to buildings. And if they are suppressed you should not have access to it at all.
