was on a 2v2 and I built an M5 lorry and upgraded it with the miniguns and attcked enemy lines and AT guns killed it, how can this be?

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Because, this is an AT Gun firing...
and this is an M5 HT
Thats a really big gun, and some really thin armour.
It's kinda how its supposed to be really. Keeping light armour alive is hard, and it should be. Scout for it, keep it out of the arc of an AT gun - it isn't a battle tank so its not meant to weather AT attacks.

soviets are definitely UP, just yesterday i got my m3a1 halftrack one shoted by a pak43.

The PAK-40 penetration might be infact too strong for the M5, becuase in real life the gun would probably overpenetrate the vehicle without doing any significant damage. So it would probably have to use HE rounds, too bad COH 2 paks dont have that
This was encountered by US tankers in the pacific, where they would have to use HE rounds againts japanese tanks because AP rounds went through them without doing any significant damage.
