You know what? I'm just going to take a break. I'm going to assume everyone is trolling for the next 24 hours. Enjoy yourselves. :}
id agree with you there except su76, currently, is more than a match for ost t3. its a favourable trade. And 222 != light armor. its like equating shermans to KT just bacause, cost wise, 3 shermans have same cost. No units fight in a vacuum. The synergies of Ost t1+t2 are less than synergy of sov t2+t3.
have to agree with you on taking some time off for now. let the meta stabilize. and letting relic gather the data. they do seem to have gotten their act together of late.

Upgraded M5 costs basicaly as much as upgraded guards and cheaper that trash shocks.
1st unit that needs to cost more is LMG grens. They must cost 280 reinforcment wise after they get LMG and vet1 riflenade range.
Right now they can spam it like shit, abusing its 240 MP price. Without any need for expensive infantry.

The serious thing is prices in this game.
Upgraded M5 costs basicaly as much as upgraded guards and cheaper that trash shocks.
1st unit that needs to cost more is LMG grens. They must cost 280-300 reinforcment wise after they get LMG and vet1 riflenade range.
Right now they can spam it like shit, abusing its 240 MP price. Without any need for expensive infantry.
I don't think changing Reinforcement costs after a unit upgrades/Vets is a good idea or feasible at all. It completely goes against the idea of scaling, unit preservation, etc. Not to mention your MP decreasing as your Pop cap increases so you would soon find yourself with an upgraded army that you can't afford to reinforce.
If anything Grenadiers aren't the problem, its more Commanders like CAS that encourage Gren LMG spam with endless Munis. I still say they should change CAS Muni Swap to be a Supply Drop like Lend Lease or Luf. Supply.

FIRST. Gotta start the thread train somewhere. I feel the Soviet arsenal of units are some of the most overpowered and challenging things to deal with as Axis this patch, without proper AT support I can't counter the hordes upon hordes of Quads, SU-76s, and T-70s! Relic needs to nerf everything in t3 immediately.
But, but, but... what about all those "pro's", working closely with relic? They've been testing this for months now... Balancing from the top baby! Hell yeah!

Relic decided to finally make the game realistic. Axis must use StuG III's and obsolete PIV's to hold the line against endless waves of Shermans, T34's and Assault Guns while praying for a miracle (late game 15 gorillion CP call in's)
Yeah t3 Axis sucks! We need to buff it immediately so Axis can actually stand a chance vs those OP Soviet tanks! Those endless waves of shermans are so OP due to that stupid change to the Major.

What are Soviets exchanging to rush for T3? Nothing different than before: having both T1 and T2. Which I don't think many Soviet players went for. The real change is that the t34/76 is in T4. But this is based around the metagame, not the strategic choices (rushing a tier or unit) available to Soviets, since Soviet t1 and t2 didn't change. The choice between T3 and T4 is still real, but it no longer leaves the Soviets with a strategic hole in their army for Axis to counter/capitalize upon.
However, despite this, this is a very necessary and beneficial change to the game. It is a long time coming that the Soviets tech without crippling themselves.
The problem is that Ostheer t3 is really powerful, and moving it around heavily impacts the faction's performance. There is no true light tank or vehicle for Ostheer, (maybe the HT, but the 222 is nothing more than a SC with a gun that can penetrate M5 armor. Changes to improve light tank and vehicle play was by default not going to help Ostheer much.
I wonder how it would go for Ostheer if the T3 was cheaper, but the P4 couldn't be built out of it until T4 phase was researched.
It'd delay the all-rounder tank, but allow for StuGs to be out earlier to handle the lighter vehicles. T70s/SU/76s v StuGs is still one of the more interesting matchups IMO.
