IIRC Grenadiers have .91 received accuracy, versus 1.25 received accuracy for Osts.
Against certain units, like the soviet sniper, Osttruppen have a straight forward edge over grenadiers - it will take 6 shots to take them down, instead of four. Same for mortars - Osts have a definite advantage because they are harder to 1-shot.
Against other units, I'm a lot less clear on how to compare the two. Is it fair to say that Osts have 50% more squad members, and that is mitigated a little bit by them being about 33% easier to shoot than grenadiers? Could one with some accuracy say that against small arms fire Osts are about 12% more durable than grens? This thread isn't really about Osttruppen. I'd also be interested in durability of cons versus grens, etc.

Conscripts rifles do 16 damage, meaning that when Cons hit they hit fairly hard. This why why you tend to want to use Cons in CQC against Axis as it increases you chance to hit and snipe enemy models.

I see what you mean, but I'm interested in for this thread is more finding specific quantitative comparisons for the durability of different squads.
