The only thing which throws me here,is reference to the New Zealanders... who did not face army combat in NW Europe (though their airforce did). I wonder if Relic are introducing something for Italy, or N Africa?

Or, they had a New Zealand guy show up for the voice work and went with it

Will I break NDA if I say the Brits have the best voice work Relic have done to date?

Oh My God. You don't know how hard I am

That trailer is the best trailer that Relic has put together. Good ol' Montgomery, the saviour of Europe. September can't come fast enough damn it.

Actually kind of hyped, seriously considering preordering. :)

For lesser mortals who want to get excited and who haven't seen the Alpha, here's a list of units and weapons spotted in the trailer.

Boys AT rifle (great, I know Soviet players love facing german tanks with nothing by AT rifles)

40mm Bofors guns (hopefully they'll be more useful then they were in CoH1)
Bren Gun Carriers (business as usual?)
Crusader AA (Awesome! Could be an allied mirror to the Ostwind, Jerry Infantry beware)
Typhoons (duh)
Gliders (again - duh)

Churchill VII (152mm armour could give 88mm a run for their money)
Valentine XI (6pdr armed Valentine, sounds like a relic, but probably the best testimonial it has is that it was the only lend-lease tank the Soviets liked. The 6pdr was no joke either, they took out tigers)
A34 Comet (Relic, please don't make this another jackson, give it character)

That's what I spotted anyway, I'm sure there'll be more, but its quite an eclectic line up right now. I kind of like it... non-doctrinal churchills could be great fun.

The rumoured tiering changes for certain factions etc could come with this update in September, given that there will be "major changes".
Nice to have some communication, but please Relic, do tease us, and not half a weak before the announcement...

I have 1 question - is voice acting in video the same as voice acting of commonwealth troops ?

If yes - theyre awesome

What did they mean by "two factions in one"? Can someone explain?

I think you can play them defensively and offensively (i think they ll have something like 2 teching systems 1 offensive and 1 defensivve but you can unlock aspects of both)

in terms of depth and tech paths that are mutually exclusive.

If one of those teching paths includes going for a sim city again, this game is dead. This "feature" was literally cancer in Coh1. It spread further and further from one emplacement. You had to cut it out early or die.

Their teching has a bit more blatant choice in it, unlike currently for the factions where it tends to be more a choice made due to consideration of your inability to afford everything.

Hope I nailed that without NDA-breaking...

Some of the voice actors remind me the sound of the brits in COD2.

I think it's worth getting the brits just for their voice! :D

I'm just glad Relic nailed the voice acting for the British. The voice acting for OKW and the USF isn't very good, so I was a bit worried for the British. Needless to say, i'm not worried anymore.

So like if Wehrmacht had two sets of battle phases. Pretty neat.

I'm assuming ones defensive or emplacement centric and the other is offensive or vehicular centric. Guessing first first tier of both are required for a balanced army.

I think meta in lower levels will be defensive play - lesser micro
and meta on high level of play in 1vs 1 will be mobile agressive play with 1 -2 emplacements on key points
