COH campaign might not have anything to do with COH 2's development. But the resemblance of some scenes in COH 1 campaign to BoB is just uncanny and I think done on purpose. Similarly, COH 2 soviet campaign reminds me of enemy at the gates at first; and then switches too winter fall/downfall after 1943 in the SP missions.

I'd be inclined to assume it's just writing like most other action video games - totally ripped off/inspired by (feel free to choose whichever, YMMV) the writers' favourite action movies.

Are any of the voicelines in this thread done by yourself? If so, which ones?

None. I just post these so other people have ready access to them/wanting to just hear the voices. Besides I don't like in the UK where they do all their recording.

Whenever Relic hires me to voice the Pershing :P

But the CoH 1 vehicle voices were almost the same as well, look at US Armour

Sherman, Sherman Croc, M10, Calliope, Pershing are all done by one guy.

It was ridiculous as Wehrmacht in the English version where one guy voiced: MG team, Mortar Team, Motorcycle, Nebelwerfer, Puma, Half-Track and Ostwind.

Also speaking of Ostheer announcer, here he is:

why dont you contact relic and tell them you'll do it for free that wud save costs/money and we get to hear a decent voice announcer for USF its a win-win if u ask me

I wish. Only a few lines for Rangers last Christmas and Pershing. None of those can be put into game files even if I had done a complete recording. The Pershing test I did was just gameplay and audio edited in.

Editor tools need upgrading.

It can probably be done, you can do custom voicelines for DoW II so I reckon COH 2 is the same.

i tried doing something similar of that nature with xcom:enemy unknown/within and steam just auto-updates the program and the files i put in there are "gone". and i know for certain relic has admin rights to edit those files "internally".

It's definitely possible in XCOM. I don't know how to do it myself, but it's definitely possible.

i heard rumors down the grapevine that xcom:EU/EW is VERY difficult and complicated to mod thank jesus fuck that xcom 2 will be a bit more mod friendly wouldn't you agree?

I miss the days when USF and Wehr have different voices for day/night map. COH2's VA is just not the same caliber as vCOH. (OH T3 announcement still hasn't been fixed)

There is something magical about Kai Wulff´s voice, i bet Wehrmacht Grenadiers from COH1 made us fanboys to his voice or something

Call of Duty 2

COH 1 Grenadiers, had to include it :P (Also his role as Base commander at 1:44 in the same video)

Killing floor 2

**EDIT, Added RO 2**
Ending of the German campaign in RO 2, such a sad moment :(

They could've had rear echelons spawn randomly as white or black, regardless if that was actually a thing in real life.

Not like relic cares about realism or authenticity at this point anyway.
