Any one pick up this amazing game? Love the late cold war setting and Eugen has done a great job with this game, unfortunately the single player is lacking but everything else is just awesome.

It's great but I have not put much time into it since the Coh 2 beta came out so near the release

I hated the controls/UI in the original game and unfortunately that really turned me off from it. I hear the sequel is much improved but I don't really want to buy the game to find out...

Hmm. The previous game is basically RUSE done right in many regards. It suffers mildly from the whole unlocks, unlocks everywhere-thing.

I'll consider checking this out - especially if they give me a demo.

Oh yeah and I heard they got rid of unlocks in this one too, which was a huge reason I didn't like the first one.

No. In CoH you unlock a minority of the content (2-3 doctrines per team, intel bulletins) - in the first Wargame, you unlock everything except for a few starter vehicles and troops. Keep in mind: this is a game with several hundred different units.

Although to be fair it's pretty easy to unlock stuff in WarGame whereas in CoH 2 you have to jump through 80 hoops to unlock the bulletins and grind forever to unlock the commanders.

Just a joke, because you guys are saying they improved the ui and made less unlocks in AirLand Battle.

And I have played both wargames and both coh's.

Looks very interesting, but I'm not going to spend 39,99€ on a game I know nothing about... demo or free-to-play please! ;)

They'll probably release a demo when the game is done, I assume.

i own this game now for 3 days and i must admit: its superfun! the controls are sometimes not that good, but the rest is very nice! its balanced, has nice graphics, building your own decks is interesting and challenging (much better than bulletins). i would rather buy this game than coh2, if i had to choose!

I own it but COH2 is taking up most of my time. I am a little concerned about Wargame's learning curve.

Its really fun, just owned medium AI with my deck of air units and recon. My Cobras and A10s blocked out the sun lol.

Fun game with OskarMike. We spent 30min fighting for this one town and then we went all in spearheaded by the last of my marines and followed by all his stuff. Went in to point blank urban combat with 50 or so enemy infantry and then I bombed the shit out of them with no friendly fire losses. It was glorious, took complete control of the city like 2 minutes later. 'Merica
