capture speeds

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is the same distinction among CoH2 units as there was in CoH, regarding how fast they cap points? It feels to me like there is but it's hard to be sure. I think the T-34 capture mode speed is among the fastest. Can anyone confirm or deny that the same system applies, and if there is variety, which of the core units for each faction has the best capping speed?

Second, there appears to be a difference in the time it takes to cap different point types. Can anyone identify or locate info on what the specified base times would be for each point type?

i don't think there is any difference between units but i can't be sure.

I am pretty sure there is, for the sniper takes quiet a bit longer than other units.

People have said Osttruppen USED to cap slower compared to other units but since then they're been changed to regular capture rate.

Nothing but doctrinal abilities like Counterattack/ Breakthrough Tactics increases capture rate, and in these two cases, it is only decapture, not capture.

I would like to see capture/decapture speed as a veterancy bonus. Perhaps replace the vet abilities on a few units like penals and assault grenadiers.

Would fit perfectly on Stormtroopers as well.

Thanks for the replies. In vCoH, as I recall riflemen had a 1.5 cap speed multiplier, and I think Volksgrens had 1.25.

Playing OKW, it feels like Sturmpios cap faster than CoH2 Volksgrens, but not so obviously that I am sure of it.

Seems as if no units currently have quicker capture speed. Which is very unfortunate because it could give units like stormtroopers more utility.
