That is literally how you use every single MG in the game, the issue is you need to do that with the MG34 far more than any other because you can't suppress on top of being a 4 man squad. It suffers from some of the same issues as the .50 cal, but at least the 50 has a quick set up and tear down time.

The awkward strength of the 34 is you can get a lot of them to cover each other.

It suppresses and its 210 mp... There nothing wrong with this weapon

Yes, the mg-34 sucks, thats why the OKW metagame is all about making mg-34s

Its osttruppen of HMGs, extremely cheap and spammable, can afford losses.
Not really sure what kind of performance you expect out of it.

It does good for its extremely cheap price.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

I don't see where all this hate for mg34s is coming from. I can see it not being as useful in larger team games, but the mg34 is quite good in 1v1s and 2v2s. You only need to use them like mg42s, in other words, just get two of them and put them in slightly spread positions so that they each cover a central area, with room on the sides to protect from flanks. 2 mg34s at vet 0 make a very nice defensive position in the early game, and they transition to the lategame well thanks to incendiary rounds. The only thing it needs is faster rotation speed, and eve then, only barely.

M2HB is also fine, use it to support advancing rifles, not as a defensive weapon. M2HB and maxims are both offensive mgs meant to quickly advance and cover your infantry. Although it definitely needs a gun armor buff to 70 like all the other mgs have.
