The problem with SHOCKS is....

...Entering the field at a time when no axis hard counter exists, SHOCKS are an infantry hard-counter that in all practical reality have no counter:

Smoke ability negates MG's or even flack HT (which dies to small-arms fire fast btw).
Sniper is nice in theory, but even at max range is run off fast and has to retreat or evaporate instantly.

Early game domination via SHOCKS is easy, holding map thereafter is even easier. They're just so durable. Good luck pushing them out. OKW especially struggle. All counters come far too late. Counters that exist aren't adequate or precarious at best.

-I'd remove smoke ability all together, or make it a late vet ability.
-Flack HT should get a armor buff so that small arms fire is less of an issue. That, or make it kill faster.

They will get pinned and most of the time then they will throw smoke, just use a rifle grenade, or focus them down with grens, an lmg42 gren squad does wonders. As okw by the time he has shocks, you will have about 25 volk squads, just out gun him huh!

Shocks just remind players of the early days of COH 2 when Pgrens had the same amount of armor and you had to think about how to deal with them before they ate up your conscripts

I always use Attack ground with the Flak HT anyway, it loves to bug out and move when you don't want it to when using the regular attack.

Nothing is wrong with the shocks. They suck at long range, medium, and even relatively close. Their armor isn't as high as it used to be, and they cost a lot to reinforce.

And when the Artillery Officer had more armour than all of them. But just him, not the other guys with him. Goooooooooood times.

Oh yeah, and Shocks are fine.

They are fine. Even two volks could take them out with good kiting, they are pure garbage on long range and smokes only help if they throw it before they get supressed or shot at and even then you can always dunno....throw a granade in the smoke.

They only perform "well" (not OP) in urban maps, when you can flank your enemy without being detected. They can not Move towards you in an open field without losing models.

Shocks do well what they are designed to do. Perfect example of good unit design. Armored, great at close range and with smoke greandes that allowing them to close the distance. This all might seem OP but thier long range performance is nonexistent which is enough to balance them out.

The problem with shocks is that OKW has long range shocks that spawn behind enemy lines and have panzerfausts.
