I was wondering if armor company has gotten any better, seems to me its still unusefull with the quite late m10 and 105 sherman call ins. has anyone found a good strat with this commander? I'd love to use it to be somewhat out of the ordinary rifle/airborne/inf company.

I haven't gotten it to work in 1v1 since the patch, but in 2V2 I do 3 rifle 1 ass engineer LT m20 AND or AAHT>Captain>pack howi>AT gun>M10>M10>dozer

I've won a few 2v2s with it vs double ost. Haven't tried it 1v1.

Build has been assault engi, 3 rifles, lt, m20, another rifle, bars&grenades then wait it out until m10s.

Have been with soviet allie who mainly tier2s so we've had zis guns to help out with AT.

Any spare cash grab muni depots, with demos & m20 mines & bars you'll never have any spare unless you've screwed right up.

To be honest i've been relatively impressed with it, the m10s can pen anything ost field including tiger/tiger ace. They'd probably get smashed by a ferdinand but i haven't fought that with em yet.

Only try it on open maps though or you're gonna get mugged off by pathing for having loads of tds.

M10s are fantastic now. If you have 2 of them and a jackson (or atg) then its GG tanks. 105 is a squad wiper. Only issue is the elite vehicle perk needs more love. Maybe they could get smoke for all vehicles instead of just Shermans? Also the 240mm call in sucks.

Armor company is now the best USF doctrine in 1v1.

what are the stats for the M10's gun? (pen/damage?) how does this compare to the M36?

M10:180/160/140, 160 damage

M36,240/220/200 200 damage,240 with AP rounds

I'd say they're now pretty similar, but the jacksons longer range and more pen and damage with AP rounds gives the edge to the Jackson at "duke it out" engagements, while the M10 is better at bum rush flanking now with the HP buff.

I found it useful before, now I find it even better.

The Sherman Dozer is good vs opponents that mass elite infatry, the M10 with buff is a competent anti-tank tank, and assault engies can lay demos to get squad wipes.

This is mostly from my 2v2 experience.

I like to go tier 3/Captain with Armour as the Dozer and M10 fulfil a role similar to the units that come out of tier 4/Major.

Do you guys end up skipping Major altogether because of the Dozer and Wolverine being call-ins?

I've just started using this commander again, and I'm liking it! Just trying to decide on which build makes most sense.

I skip it personally. I do build major if games go a bit longer for frp.

I've been using it loads in team games, really nice cheesy strategy is to instabuild the assault engineers and run them with your starting RE's to your opponent's cut-off, back cap with a second RE and build a fighting position in the cutoff. Enemy won't be able to decap and you've basically won the game in the first 5 mins.

I generally go major versus ost but skip him against okw

I've found myself skipping out on Major now, and going 1 dozer/2 Wolverines (fighting a lot of OKWs). Though I'm wondering, should there be enough fuel, if gunning for a second dozer is worth it?

This depends on what tech you chose earlier and how much armor you think your opponent can field. If he has been staying around with a Jagd P4 and some volks, and has had fuel for awhile getting a second Bulldozer is risky. If you went Captain tech then getting the second Bulldozer is a great addition to your army. You have the ability to suppliment your AT with AT guns and your captain

Even with bad mirco, M10s can out flank everything minus blitzed tanks. Get in real close, and just surround his panthers.

Very satisfying to see.
