Then a crash course for you:

FHQ gives damage and resistance buff to infantry in proximity.
If you attack frontally units near FHQ without sniper, mortar or HMG support you WILL be murdered mercilessly.

Take out FHQ first with stuka, ISG or mortars, then conscripts will loose their buff.

The properly described problem includes solution within itself, now we know you didn't meant/knew that, which was already accurately suspected earlier.

The conclusion is, it have absolutely nothing to do with conscripts as expected.

This isn't about the broken FHQ. I just searched for an OST VS SOV replay on the replay section and posted it here to calm that guy down.


Cons win most engagement against grens, specially with bulletins. They don't need any FHQ buffs.

Unless you upgrade your grens with G43s, blob them together and have a SdkFz251 behind your units.

Upgrading units and supporting them with others is the way intended by faction design to play as ost.

Not really sure what you're on about here. If the factions intended paystyle doesn't suits you, then change for army that have more independent troops, ost is supposed to work at least in pairs of units, sov USF and OKW have more independent infantry in early game.

Cons are only problematic in urban areas of the map, which they can sneak up on you. It's a major game flaw, but the CONS vs GRENS is balanced in general.

Next time, provide an actual replay of your own game. Claiming something happen all the time, and then "posting a replay just to shut him" up doesn't make too much sense, does it?

As he said those are all good counters, You can also flame it down with pio (HMG pin is a must for this to work) or a flametruck. 2x flame pios flame crit buildings pretty fast.

Assault nades from OKW and Wher can work as well depending on building strength.

And last but not least you can crush it with any tank.
