It has very poor acceleration, while it does have an okay max speed (only .1 higher than the Kat), if you see something coming you won't be able to move it away in time.

It's just waaaaay to risky to use for how much you have to spend to make it, again, if it came in T3 or just had a lower cost there wouldn't be an issue here, but it shouldn't cost more than the Katyusha while just being objectively worse.

If your going to make a unit that needs to be very close to be effective, that unit needs to have at least some survivability.

Its the most potent mobile arty but comes with T4 and requires micro while Stuka or katy does not. Get close behind shot blocker or smoke area ahead, shot at blob, blob will vanish.
There is no time to react. Bye Bye blob, but its really hard to achieve this.

Ah, for my daily dose of theorycrafting.
Truth is: Pwerfer is utterly craptastic. Even the Brummbär has more utility...not to mention the more fundamental problem that OH T4 is inaccessible, and if by some miracle you actually reach it, you will need a Panther out of it, not a lacklustre indirect fire unit that needs to drive within pak range to have any discernible effect.

What? Not every map has shot blockers, and the Kat and Pwerf have horrible acceleration and pathing leading to both being very difficult to keep alive in very close quarters.

Not to mention the rockets don't hit instantly either, and to hit something you need to get right up close and reduce the scatter on it, meaning you won't be able to hit the entire blob.

It's a catch 22 situation, why does a rocket artillery HT need to be right in in front of an enemy to hit it? It's rocket artillery, it should be a medium range unit, not a literal ass sniffing range unit.

I did not say its the Best but most potent.

Uh, you can shoot through smoke you know that right?

The Katyusha can easily wipe squads just like the Stuka, both have good AoE on the rockets and you can reasonably target were those rockets can go at mid range. But the werfer doesn't have any less scatter at close than the Katyusha, by the way.

I agree, honestly the Werf needs an improvement or needs to be moved to T3 like it originally wise.

Stop acting like you were stupid. Of course you can shoot but it requires action. Jackson wont do it itself.

With katy you can react between volleys so its not wiping like werfer. You can retreat or try soft retreat. With werfer you dont have time to react. Full wipe or miss cause blob moved.

Recently Im seeing many blobber who are taking points with whole blob. Pure paradise for katy. Just this damn T4..

You have plenty of time to move out of the way of the werf due to the extra bullshit it has to go through.

3. Position the HT
4. stop the enemy some way or keep him still in some way
5. fire
6. hope he doesn't move


The cone of effect on the barrage at close range allows it to hit, but only in that area. If you use it farther away you won't hit anything, if you use it close you need to pin the enemy down because your area of effect won't be big enough to catch him if he moves a little bit.

Of course it is because its easier to use it. But get to the minimum range and werfer will make everything disapeare. Katy also but volleys mean that there is time to react.

You dont need any defensive line.
It should be quick attack and retreat which is not hard cause many players are blobbing even when taking point. So while doing it, attack and reverse.
I belive that if katy was at T3 we would see OP threads from blobbers.

Katy is much easier to use, have better utility, can be used at range and its obvious that its better but at close range werfer will punish blobber a way better than katy.

And the blob can be on move. Its up to you to decide when blob will move and shoot there.

Clearly a learn to play issue, just use it as an alternative to the Ostheer MG bunkers or standard MG42s.

Thepwerfer has more armor than a scout car. Makes sense right? The pwerfer also acts as a scout car. Can katyusha do that? I think not

Well you could change the stats on it in regards to it's scatter, but it actually had it's rocket amount reduced before the changes to artillery.

Or they could up the health and armor on it to make it jive better as a extreme close range artillery piece, but it seems kind of a self contradiction no?

It's a piece of shit even against blobs, also I would honestly rank the Katy higher than the Stuka atm just from ease of use/less micro in the positioning.
