It definitely feels like a number of things need rebalancing, though that's why it's a beta certainly.
Right now I'm not sure there is a good counter to that. 3man pak squad is still easily overrun by snipers, T34s will mow down infantry or even just crush with speed, light vehicles are easily dispatched by T34, and any tank is just "lolram" and it's out of action.
My best counter thus far has been StugIIIs. They have a very good rate of fire, range, and penetration. Focus firing drops T34s really fast. StugIII is also pretty affordable which matters because you're going to need several to avoid the lolram gimmick which is why panthers are useless.
It's still going to depend a lot on positioning / luck though. Stugs while infinitely more agile than in CoH1 still are turretless and can be circled by the lightning fast T34 pretty easily.

I try to mine somewhere then get him to chase me then he hits the mine and damages his engine I move my stug up and he out ranges him so he fires away. It's a tricky strategy ,but very effetive
