For anyone running Radeon HD 6xxx series cards (and maybe others)....
I have an MSI 6950, running drivers from MSI. I was seeing a significant FPS drop during blizzards. I switched my drivers to the latest directly from AMD (though I'm not sure if they were the latest beta or final drivers).
In any case, after changing I saw a noticeable improvement during blizzards and whenever there were a lot of explosions and particle effects happening.

Just played a game. I *think* it's a little higher, but is also at more of an angle. Noticed that I can't swing the camera position either - anyone else got that?

I've got 6850, and im using catalyst 13.4 . Havent yet tried it ingame tho, but the driver change i did yesterday made my clocks go all weird.

one more game made now, still got the same slowdowns and meh fps, amd catalyst 13.1, 13.4 and 13.5 tested all the same results. in performance test even with everything on low i have the same 1 fps minimum and just a 3 fps boost on overall, from 29 to 33. maximum fps was still 50. strange right? closed beta was running smoothly for me with my 6850. hope they fix it

Have a Q6600 and a 1Gb 6870 with 4Gb of DDR2. Only slight hesitation is when clicking on the minimap to jump to a location. Very, very minor though. Catalyst 13.1. Otherwise seems to run fine - although only played with AI 1v1 so far.

I hope there will be improvement for that performance drop ... i'm running a I7 at 2ghz (but 2,9 turbo) gtx 460 1,5gb and i get like max 20fps, can't even play during blizzards ...

I’ve had a small performance drop since last stress test; actually it’s most noticeable, when I move the camera around the map. Nothing game breaking, just some small annoying lag, like the game only renders whatever is in the view of the camera. Even the blizzards aren’t really a problem. Everything is set on low.
My PC is old and the weather is getting warmer, so that could also be a factor…

You guys seem to talk about slight fps frop, for me its just unplayable without evrything low ... and on winter maps as soon as the blizzard comes in it becomes really gamebreaking ...
