What causes you to lose games?

Hello COH2.org people. What do you think is the primary reason you lose your games?

Micro Mistakes
- Lack of attention to units, causing them to be in a disadvantaged position
- Engaging in unfavorable matchups
- Failing to properly position units
- Leaving units AFK

Macro Mistakes
- Choosing the wrong commander
- Teching too fast or too slow, leaving oneself vulnerable to attack.
- Forgetting to spend resources
- Failing to recognize the opponent's strategy/commander


I am tempted to put "Bad Teammates/Communication", but i think that will be an easy way out :D

because of rng. bullshit squad wipes, obersoldaten spam, doctrinal heavies.

as okw: micro as the macro game is extremely straightforward
as ost: micro because everything just falls apart when I dont protect my mgs well enough
as sov: macro as i dont like to use maxims nor snipers :D
as usf: macro, choosing between scotts and shermans, jacksons or priests. a jackson too many will get you overrun by infantry. I'd like to think my usf tank micro is pretty good

The PTRS's are fine as they are. Whenever i'm up against Guard Infantry, I always have to be careful with my vehicles or the Guards will completely destroy them. Good range, good damage and fairly cheap; if anything, the PTRS should nerfed since it's ridiculously good for the price. Even in the hands of Conscripts, the PTRS's are extremely potent.

Mainly Micro for me but sometimes Macro.

-Loosing focus on late game.

-Trying to use out of meta strat.

-Opponent builds obers and hides them behind AT wall.

-Stuka zu Fuss.

In that order.

Thou in general, its micro on late game that fails me.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

30% if the times bad decisions

70% RNG, im not joking, the times I've lost squads to random 1 shots even from medium tanks, to not even mention my luck with the penetration system and aim, just the other day 2 jacksons at full HP failed to kill a KT with less than 10% of it's hp becuase they both missed the target twice, it's seriously fucking ridicolous.

Or even more funny was a 1v1 where I was dominating a USF as ost, and the game started to go downhill when the scott came out, every 3 shots it would 1 shot one of my squads, I ended up with no vetted infantry, no manpower, while he retook map control and started spamming AT guns since I couldn't bleed him anymore.

TL;DR, I can safely assure I lost most of my game because of RNG.

I always seem to mis-click right at an important event.

Yesterday I had a 251/17 which I tried to use to destroy a M3A1 that was repairing. Right when I did so, the Penals that were inside jumped out (I thought they were engies) and threw a satchel at the 251/17. While I saw the satchel, I clicked the wrong unit in the unitcard list in top right of screen (clicked on Kubel instead) and thought I had moved it away.

Because I pressed S after my Special Rifle command finished building, but it charged me the cost for the sniper and then the building destroyed itself. :snfBarton:

I guess it depends. Sometimes sloopy micro (including my best friend the input lagg), sometimes a lack of knowledge about the game, the meta game and the maps which leads to bad macro decisions.

It's not my fault that 3 gren squads are stuck on 1 fucking dead pio and a mortar wipes them

Although some micro mistakes cost me the game sometimes, I mostly lose because of macro mistakes. Not flanking well, getting over confident, walking into traps, lose of map control and focusing on worthless skirmishes.
