I love it how OKW has Uber Duetch Stheel wire! I dont think I have upgraded my engineers or RE with wire cutters in LONG time, absolutely useless.

What do you do about mines?

I find it amusing to place a demo at the bridge and wait for pios to attempt to lay wire... Boom! Anti cheese cheese.

Alternatively if they don't cheese the wire you can use to nab an unsuspecting victim... either way. :)

ALWAYS send your first RE to the middle of the map against OKW on Semoisky summer.

This way you can also avoid the SwS truck block by putting an incomplete tank trap there. It also helps you against the Kubel + SP rush.

I really do think wire cutters should be able to cut reinforced wire though. It could take extra time or something too.

You should be able to cut the wire (extra time is fine), leaving just the steel frame and make the steel frame vaultable. I think this would be a good compromise.

Axis players rarely mine compare to the Soviets, based on my experience.

Just had my first strat point bum rushed by Sturmpioneers, MG Car, Supply Truck then steel wired and map locked down within 3 minutes by a guy who has 2000 hours played, 600 games with OKW and is still barely within rank 1000. I can see why he feels the need to be cheese, nothing short of an absolute loser. A free win for him of course. GG.

Mortar can destroy the wire easy and it is very useful unit in this map anyway

You mean Pack Howitzer that comes with Captain that costs 80 fuel, right?

None of these "solutions" really address the root of the cheese.

I think this is the best solution I've heard yet.

Reminds me in CoH1, when Pios didn't have wire cutters initially. After Axis players complained, it was added to the game (rightfully so).

When is Relic going to do anything to add to USF abilities?

If you go bad on the map vetoe until you're confident in your abilities but I agree it is a cheap tactic

Never really had a problem against this, the wire takes hours to set up and unless you have lost control of the entire map it's not entirely hard to stop him doing so.

M20 crews and Captain work just fine with attack ground to clear it.
