Hold fire on grens? About riflegrenades

Sometimes when you see the enemy and the enemy cant see you you get the window of opportunity to shoot the riflegrenade. If this hits its often a gorefest. The problem is that the grens start shooting when they approach for the riflegrenade. This will, if the opponent is decent, toggle him to move. Id like a holdfire-ability for grens. Thoughts?

No, that the Grens can fire a riflegrenade over obstacles that block LoS anyway is really good. Giving them the ability to do it with 100% stealth would be ridiculous.

Maybe it would be okay, if they tone down explosives in a future patch(since squad wipes are too frequent from explosives since the last patch).

"Lets give a stealth ability to a core infantry squad that has the power to almost wipe support weapons with a single nade from long range, that also can hold a high-DPS LMG, but not any of the other core infantry squads."

Lol.
But is it really stealth? Whats the stealth in not shooting? The stealth comes from that you have sight and youre opponent doesnt and that happens over a million times in regular game.

The "stealth" is the fact that the only units that have "hold fire" now are actual stealth units, i.e. Pathfinders, Snipers, Luch (lmao). That and many people rely on the audio of the game, like the sound of yours and the enemies' men shooting and the "we're under attack" alert.

It would make it easier to counter maxims, sure, but as it stands I find maxims quite counter-able with this patch as Wehr. One rifle nade will usually bring the crew down to enough HP to that it can be finished off with a few LMG bursts.

Give them mighty comrad...conscripts the ability to not only hold fire, but also disappear from the mini map (radio silence like) so they can molotov your ass stealthily.

The problem the OP is looking at is pretty much the only thing that lets the target react besides killing of the grenadier squad. And in any case, I often find not really having the time to react quick enough to avoid it, unless I see the guy crouching down to shoot the grenade.

To me it's fine as is, it's largely for crew squads anyways.

Use a doctrine with ambush camo and do it right. You also get hold fire.
