Introduction

The Angry Bears are pleased to present The Cheese Series. A place to showcase the cheesiest of strategies. Do you have a build order and strategy that you have always wanted to share with the community but feared the reprisal? This is the thread to post it in. Why would we want to do such a thing? Everybody has their own reasons but all submissions should be submitted with the intent of Relic addressing them. E-sports, etc.

How it works

  • Read the rules and follow them.
  • Submit your strategy following the format template provided.
  • Napalm along with special guests will rate the strategy and award blocks of cheese, with 10 blocks of cheese as a maximum.
  • Submissions will be graded according the criteria listed below.
  • At the end of every three months blocks of cheese per submitter will be tallied. The submitter with the most blocks of cheese will be crowned the Cheese Master Strategist.
  • If the submission is really questionable PM me the strategy and I'll submit it anonymously.

Rules

  • Use the template provided.
  • Do not use glitches and hacks.
  • Theoretical strategies will not be accepted. You may be challenged for a replay.

Grading criteria

  • Does a counter exist?
  • Is it original?
  • How game breakingly awesome is it?
  • Ease of execution
  • Can is be scaled up?
  • Does it affect all game modes or just one?

Submission format

Title Name your submission
Summary In a paragraph explain the cheese
Game Modes Applicable Which game modes does this cheese apply to
Doctrines Selected What doctrines are required
Build Order What build order is required
Replay Link Not required but preferred if you are going to post something outrageous
Notes Anything else you have to say? This is the place

May the best cheese win. A special note to moderators. I will be self-moderating this topic. Any balancing discussion should be removed.

Title Axis War Machine
Summary Germany must not be outproduced by inferior allied engineers! Ostheer Luftwaffe Supply drops fuel for an Oberkommando West teammate, who rushes out a king tiger at around 15 minutes.
Game Modes Applicable 2v2+. Mix and match as you like for more fuel or more king tigers.
Doctrines Selected Luftwaffe Supply for Ostheer, OKW can do whatever he wants. Elite Armor for maximum troll.
Build Order OKW player rushes straight to KT.

Title USF need no base
Summary Ostruppen is an often over looked doctrine. The rail way artillery ability can be used to completely destroy a USF base in 2 to 4 strikes. The abilities radius is nearly the same size as the USF base footprint.
Game Modes Applicable 2 vs 2 or greater
Doctrines Selected Osttruppen doctrine (OST) and Special operations doctrine (OKW)
Build Order Any build order will work but a heavy Ostruppen presence is required during early game. 5 Ostruppen and a Field Officer will work wonders if in cover. T1, T2, T4 for a Panther. Survive until you are able to nuke the base from orbit. OKW player will need to use Artillery Flares to light up the foes base.
Replay Link They won't work anymore sadly. New patch. :(
Notes You'll be relying on your teammate for armor as you use the Redistribute resources ability for piles of munitions. Use panther bulletins to supercharge the single panther you have built. Recon planes are not as effective as the Artillery Flares as they tend to move to quickly. Halo bonus from the Artillery Officer does apply to allied units.

Title Allied War Machine
Summary America must not be outperformed by superior german engineers! Make more tanks! An American player makes only fuel caches, officers, and tanks. Teammates carry him and drop fuel while he amasses about 10 decrewed shermans in his base. Then he storms the entire map in a blaze of star spangled glory.
Game Modes Applicable 3v3+.
Doctrines Selected Lend Lease for soviets, USF can do whatever he wants. Rifle Company for Easy Eights later on, Armor Company to spam tanks even harder, or Airborne for P-47s.
Build Order RE, Fuel Cache x4, Lt, Major, Sherman Sherman Sherman Sherman Sherman Sherman...

Title #Esports
Summary Win Tournaments and earn real money! Go double soviets. One player goes T1 and gets two clown cars and two snipers. The other goes T2 and gets four or five maxims and then field guns. T1 player picks Counterattack Tactics for shock troops followed up by T4 for a Katyusha, a B4 and KV-1s. T2 player picks Guard Motor Coordination for heavy mortars followed up by T3 for a single T-34/76, then T-34/85 spam. If any enemy heavy armor arrives, combine the power of Mark Target with the B4 precision strike, and follow up with a glorious swarm of soviet armor.
Game Modes Applicable 2v2
Doctrines Selected Counterattack Tactics and Guard Motor Coordination
Replays The entire Star Crossed Cup

Use smoke to close the distance and overwhelm all that stands in your way.

Title The Red Tide
Summary Remember that if conscripts don't seem to be performing that well, it's because you haven't spammed them hard enough yet. Wash over your opponent's puny army with the power of the red tide! Build only conscripts and the HQ healing upgrade, then spend all munitions on replacing your losses. Played right, you should be able to get to around 14-16 conscript squads. Sprinkle in a single field gun and SU-85 to take out enemy structures and vehicles. Tech AT grenades when necessary but use sparingly.
Game Modes Applicable 1v1
Doctrines Selected Conscript Support
Build Order Conscripts x4, Healing, Conscripts x2, T2, Field Gun, Conscripts x2, T4, SU-85

Doctrines Shockrifle/LendLease/GuardsMotor

Title: Gardening Pios

Summary: Using the encirclement doctrine, Ostheer player shows his massive cajones off by storming the enemy lines with aggressive pio action, using sprint to get up close. After the initial shock and awe, hit them with some sexy ass gardening stormtroopers:

Bonus points if it's a winter map, where you can show off your best dressed troops of the 3rd reich with their white camo. Use Stormtroopers to fill in the gaps of your build, Shreck to deal with light vehicles, assault rifles to maul infantry. Don't forget to use their camo and be sneaky.

Now rush a P4/Ostwind, or . Garden buildings, you have no need for them except for t3, but it might be handy to backtech later on for a PAK :p

Game Modes Applicable: 1v1

Doctrines Selected: Encirclement doctrine.

Build Order: 4x , 2/3 x , outfit them to counter what your opponent does. Quick tech to t3 and get a or

Replay Link:

Notes: Don't do this on an open map! Against USF, 3 pios into a quick t2 and 2x scout cars can do a handy job as well, followed by stormies and t3.

Title Stuka > P47
Summary Skill planes win the game. One click (x4 players) will desimate the Allied armies.
Game Modes Applicable 3 v 3 or greater (could work on a 2's)
Doctrines Selected Jaeger Infantry Doctrine or Lightning War Doctrine (preferred because Tiger)
Build Order Any build order will work but as long as you can hold out until all four team members have the Stuka Close Air Support ability available.
Replay Link Replay
Notes Unlike the P47 which only targets armor the Stuka Close Air Support ability will target infantry and support weapons as well. Call in the ability in a slightly staggered pattern, timed apart by 30 or so seconds for maximum effect.

I'm cynical about any strat that basically requires one player to stop playing whilst you make it work.

If the enemy doesn't punish you for that then you'd probably win anyway.

Both of these will get marked down for being noob traps that will bite you in the arse if you screw them up.

The Manchurian Bear is new to playing Axis - which is one reason we suspect the real Napalm is still held prisoner in Relic HQ.

Anyway, having tried this with him I beg to differ that this is not THE answer

This does work, kind of, but:

1) Any strat that involves fighting Rifles with Ostruppen means you need to get squad wipes early or they come back with Vet and BARs

2 Vet 0 Ost v 1 Vet 0 Rifle = Victory for Ost

6 Vet 2 Ost v 4 Vet 2 Rifle with Upgrade = Victory for Rifles

OR YOU COULD BUY MG-42s

Ahem.

Even buying armour at all is the wimpy way to do this.

Alpha bears don't tech beyond T2, convert all fuel into munitions and rely or 3 or 4 shreks squads for their AT.

Title Tanks? Tanks! We don't need no stinking tanks

Summary Convert all fuel to munitions. Yes all of it

Game Modes Applicable All modes, becomes very good as OKH playing with OKW as you cover their weaknesses well with recon + off maps

Doctrines Selected Close Air Support

Build Order GREN, GREN, GREN, GREN T2, PG, PG, PG, PG

Leaven to taste with fuel caches, MGs and bunkers

Do not tech beyond T2, buy no vehicles unless you really have to, half track will be helpful if you need to keep field presence

Convert all fuel to munitions as soon as possible and keep doing it

By the time your strafes and bombs unlock you should be able to use them more or less at will

Replay Link Nope

Edit: Aye
