So I was watching Romeo lay the wood on some poor guy in the new live replay mode. When I hovered the cursor over the smoke grenade icon, it said that targeting a vehicle with smoke grenades disables it's weapons for some time.
Can anybody confirm or deny this? If true, it seems like a great way of dealing with the Kubel.
Smoke Grenades disable vehicles?

Pretty sure it says so on the Rifleman tooltip smoke.

Yes it slows the vehicle and it can't fire without using attack ground.

It disables only if the nade hits the vehicle and its very short time not enough to finish the pesky kubel

I knew about the blinding, but "slows the vehicle" too? Does this apply to all smoke grenades, such as Shock Troops? Smoke rounds from mortars?
On a related note, I once had my shock troops run over by a tank after popping smoke. Is this a freak occurrence, or a legitimate risk when infantry is also in the thick of the smoke and can't see a tank to move out of its way?

Nope just the USF rifle smoke grenade. Not sure about your second question.

My understanding is that infantry need vision in order to avoid treads.
If you had your shocks popping fragmentation grenades while inside the smoke that may have also contributed to it since they all stop on ability activation.
That's probably not something that happens too much though. People seem hesitant to drive through smoke that they didn't pop.

I don't think vision is required. Your at risk to certain vehicle maneuvers at any time, smoke is not a factor. If you have ordered your infantry in a path that intersects the vehicle path and don't cancel the order after the 2nd or so attempt to avoid, they will let the vehicle run them over to carry out your order.
The issue is more likely that YOU the player/user could not see the exact location of tank and infantry and likely provided a move order. Running infantry over is a very subtle art though, so we would really need a replay to tell for sure.
