Today, people playing USF are using it intensively. Searching for solutions is allways better than whining.


Having to choose always unique commander to still have a chance to win as USF it's really an issue to whine.

Well, if you are fighting Ostheer it can win you the game. I had a nice game where I was just about to make a nice comeback with my Tiger (invested everything in it) when suddenly this plane came and did some good damage. The thing is that it even followed my full healt Tiger over the half of the map in my base until it was destroyed.

But before your blood starts boiling again: its still needed in the current state of USF.

The air strike is op, but the seeking artillery with laser pinpoint accuracy that can destroy your entire army if you don't move out the way is not OP. This is how we got to this state of balance to begin with. Anytime there is something effective the allies have, people are complaining that it's effective. The p47 relies on several things during it's strike and OKW players shouldn't be crying at all here, since their stupid truck shoots down the planes. If you don't want to get hit by airstrikes get AA. When I get tired of strafes pinning my infantry, I get a quad or AAHT.

Maybe it could be toned down, made cheaper, and then have it available non-doctrinally, perhaps by replacing major´s artillery strike. Single plane, single pass and reasonable damage against german heavies?

Because I am already thinking of how to Counter P-47 and it basically involves Ostwinds

Priests

Jacksons



P47s can be counted with Ostwinds

Jacksons will be eaten by AT infantry


However Priests covered by Jacksons and combined arms is a whole different ball game and I have no idea how to counter that right now

^^ In 1v1s, USF cannot make such combined arms...

'Cuz the USF has other way of killing Tigers/KTs behind a wall of mg-42s and PAKs....P-47s are fine for 240 ammo as long as USF's ground forces suck big time

P47 could be tone down A SMALL BIT when they tone up the faction.
Meanwhile, the AT strafe from OH should target a bit more precisely.

Its not fine. Of course its far from being the only thing that isnt, but still, abilities that are basically impossible to counter/evade (at least on smaller maps) are bad, mkay?

It's fine damage wise , I just have a problem that your tanks are even attacked in your base.
However because of the way this ability is implemented this cannot be changed.
Coh2 is a game where awareness and micro is awarded. Yet this ability negates this mechanic, as your tanks can even get destroyed if you retreat them at once out of the circle.
Your tanks can be also shot at if they are already out of the circle, but the P47 was taking aim while you were in the circle.

My suggestion is just to award the axis player more if awareness was shown. Just decrease the circle a bit and this ability will be in a good spot.

The ability still will be by far superior to the stuka strafe, IL strafe & bombing run which are laughable easy dodged

It is very overperforming, but very easy counterable.

But if you don't get the exactly single hard counter of P47, you are fucked.


One more retardness of Relic balance design. <444>_<444>

u don't need to spend resources on a counter dude. the counter is move out the area and he waste munitions.... so hard for ppl to move a unit and they can clearly see a line showing u where to move out.

I had a playthrough with P47 blowing up every building and cover in central of semoisky. Half of the shots miss the tiger ace with a damaged engine and it somehow manage to escape. Talking about collateral damage, those P47 cost more harm than both of us fighting in the central semoisky for last 20mins. The view is like 20+ katyusha rockets blasting blindly at the town.

Seriously those pilots need to L2aim or at least nerf the rockets vs buildings
