Snipers inside buildings

Other than the defensive bonus is there any point in putting a sniper inside a building?
There's been times when the sniper won't automatically shoot enemies near the border of their range like they do when behind cover. Is that a bug?
Do snipers stay invisible in buildings?

Extra sight range and building cover, but it's not really worth it because they can't cloak.

No point to it. Better to have cloaked snipers that can kite and retreat more quickly. Always that chance that snipers go out the wrong door and you basically throw away 360mp.

Not really on-topic, but it is possible to control which door a unit uses when exiting a building. If you click the building, then click on the icon of the unit itself (in the tooltip area), then issue a move command, the unit will exit the building from the door closest to the point you told them to move to. Just a little trick not enough people seem to know about.

Even easier, select the building, hit tab, right click where you want to exit.

I remember snipers shooting faster when inside buildings, is this still the case? might have been vcoh or coho, but I couldn't find anything about it via google.

They can also shoot over sight blockers within some buildings. It can be useful to throw a sniper in a tall building for a shot or two, but generally you don't want your sniper in any one place for too long, building or not.

Yeah, you can put a Sniper in a building, but it's a bad place to stay. Generally you'd want to put him in, let him shoot, then take him back out.

Even easier again if your unit is on a control group. Select control group and right click where you want to exit.

Permanently Banned
I think they should be cloaked until they fire or until and enemy tries to enter the building.
