It looks like a lower production value COH2 clone and nothing like the original Blitzkrieg (which badly needs to be remade).

I see the old Blitzkrieg games are on steam now, which is better 1 or 2?

Definitely Blitzkrieg 1. The sequel was a downgrade.

I owned the Blitzkrieg anthology, which has many maps.

The strength of this game, besides being great for the time, was its large scale and huge diversity of units which was done with meticulous detail. The infantry is the size of a battalion, and the armor is a size of company. So I remember 8 artillery pieces, 500-300 infantry and 15-10 tanks in a typical game.

Blitzkrieg was nice. But it had some bugs and a terrible thing. Part 2 was horrible. But base buildings in Blitzkrieg.. doesn't seem to fit. But i am looking forward to the beta.

I definitely miss the scale of this RTS game. There were so many units on the screen, and so much stuff going on that it was difficult to keep track.

I also liked the focus on artillery and defensive lines, and how it was necessary to clear all the at guns before any armor advance.

Part1 was the best, Part2 sucked as hell.
