I just had the chance to try this newly introduced ability from the Encirclement doctrine and find out what it actually does.

At 200 munitions it has the same price tag as the sector arty and the railway strike.

I have mixed feelings. What do you guys make of it?

Judging by that video it looks like a bargain at 200 munitions.

Impressive, most impressive. It'll definitely push for more flanking tactics now at least.

This balance patch might require a balance patch.

Didnt anyone think of a maximum number of effected sectors? Everyone gets their hopes up and abuses it, and then later they nerf it when it should have been implemented with moral reason.

"Ability to blow up half the map for 200 munitions?"

-"Sounds about right."

It's funny. We all knew how OP this would be months before it came out. Yet relic still did it. Why?

It's like, you watched those parody videos showing off the beta commander and you kind of understood 'Okay this ability is just for testing, I guess it's OP for testing purposes. Of course it'll be changed and tweaked for release.' Welp.

Troops are still able to retreat, they should take away the ability for enemies in those sectors to retreat, because they are encircled and need to try to break out back to their base. This will better reflect how surrounded they are.

And blow up the last cutoff where the enemy's army is camping by using the point-click-neutral point ability. Oh Relic...
