Double elim? Gonna be a long Saturday.

All on Kholodny? I'd suggest alternating the maps... at least Pripyat is spring and good players dont just turtle the river.

Sending troops across the river is just soooooooooooooooo boring though. It's like they see a frog in the river and they all point it out to each other and take pictures of it with their iPhones and then they spend a while talking about pets they had when they were kids and then they get halfway across the river and then they do it again. It's like come on I've got a strategic point I want you to cap, you could've been there 10 minutes ago if I had told you to go to the middle and then just walk south.

32 player double elim will indeed take a loooong time :P

Nice to see the CoH2 action getting underway though. Hopefully we get more 1v1 maps soon. Only Kholodny is decent, Prypiyat isn't the best map for competitive play ofcourse.

Double Elimination is an untried format for this community and I think there's no harm in trying out.

Personally I don't mind pripyat in the early game however when medium vehicles hit it can be a right cluster fuck.

actually, it's better to host 2v2 tourney because 1v1 maps are weak, pripyat is like second vire, too big for 1v1 and kholodny has too less territories to get anything fast

That was a total clusterfuck, with 24 players. I remember Symbiosis and Siberian playing their final games well after midnight (For Siberian even in the early morning hours, because of time difference).

On the other hand, it's good to get more games in. So we can get a better idea of how the games play out on competitive level.

Yeah, also if casting is allowed don't be afraid to hit me up for any matches you want to cast.

Just send me an email but it is strictly first come first serve.

2v2 tourney doesn't sound bad, much more fun with the current maps imo, though they often end up in 2x 1v1s on the big maps..

1v1 tourney would be lame now IMO, 2v2 would be good

I have to admit that with the current 1vs1 maps roster it's better playing 2vs2 tourney. :)

Why not take sign-ups through Google docs since you're already transcribing your data to that service?

I won't be able to sign up, but I agree that I'd like to see the 2v2 format until 1v1 maps are more balanced.

Moscow would be a great option for a 2v2 match.

I agree with a 2v2 tourney. Is it too late to change? :P

SunAngel and I have been really enjoying 2v2s and the map selection is good.
