Irregulars need a bit of love

I feel irregulars need a bit of love somewhere, not to overpower them, but allow them to be more feasible on the battlefield. Currently their lmgs do half the dmg of regular lmgs given out to Grens and Guards, their health is a little bit lower then that of Partisans and their only redeeming quality is the grenade they can use. I propose changing their weapon profiles so they do almost as much damage as Grens/Guards do with their weapons. Increasing their health instead would probably result in a price increase. I'd rather they stay cheap at 190(even though their reinforcement cost is more expensive then that of cons) so they can maintain their easy access, but also be effective somehow.

I think they should get normal hitpoints, and a cost increase.

irregulars used to be somewhat decent when they were 250, since they got a price reduction they are horrible now... they need to raise price back up to 250 and get a nice buff... its a doctrine unit it should have a nice effect on the field. I feel most doctrine units and abilities should be a game changer on battlefield... that's just me tho. this game isn't to consistent when it come to call ins and other doctrine units. allies seem to have gimped doctrines imo

I tried to use Soviet Reserve Army against OKW once. Once.

I use it all the time now, works like a charm. :D Though not for irregulars so much as the other things the doctrine has. :P

Irregulars take the 5 second rule very seriously. Its why they are irregular. :snfCHVGame:

I agree, I used to love using Irregulars, back when nobody else used them. Now nobody still uses them, me included. I've tried to use them, because I used to like them a lot, but the last time used the Irregulars, they had difficulty fighting even Volksgrenadiers! The only unit I recall them beating successfully without assistance was a fresh Pioneer squad.

Oh, also, if they drop their LMG, they become absolutely useless. I'd bet without the LMG, even the 3 guys standing behind the MG 42 team could kill them.

Put them in an M3 to counter Pioneers. :snfPeter:

Seriously though they are decent in an M3 with their LMG.

And I agree they could use a little something.

The horrible stats on their LMGs makes them rather pointless, they're a glass cannon unit that it not very cannony at all. Just raise them up to atleast 80% of proper lmg42/dp28 and make the LMGs undroppable (so people don't farm them for weapons for conscripts and so the squad doesn't lose a dp28 and half of their DPS with it due to too much dying)

btw. they do have the exact same hitpoints as normal partisans already, ie. 80 per model with 1 armor.

I may be wrong, but iirc Partisans, Irregulars, and Osttruppen have 50% increased incoming accuracy. They might have 80 health, but it goes down twice as fast.

Not anymore, they certainly don't drop as fast as old partisans did... and anyway 50% increased incoming damage would mean they died 1.5 times faster than normal, not twice as fast :P

Yes, you're wrong, they have none of the sort.

I'd rather allow them to come at 0 CP and increase their health and squad size to 5 as the whole soviet design is around durability and this would open up more starting options for the soviets.
