This is a dreadful commander. After minute 8, or whenever a p4 rolls out, it's completely useless.

As someone has already said, it should be renamed Light Vehicle Hunter Tactics.

Sovs have so few commander's that are actually viable in 3v3's and 4v4's it's a joke really.

I think this commander could be viable with penal spam then getting cons later instead of AT guns, only it depends on how effective the penal spam is and would be munitions intensive, mabye need a cache or to control both points all game

But that sounds hard and risky so ill probably just stick to call in tanks which clearly work well.

It's one of the most useless commanders in-game atm.

This commander would work against okw players that like to spam armored vehicles like the puma/ht/p2. Against them this commander would do well with a late t1.

If T4 were able to deal with heavy tanks then this commander could be useful.
But SU85s are too weak against flanks/schrecks and their pathing is so horrible that you still need IS2 or ISU to have chances to win.

Any competitive doctrine needs a infantry and tank call-in because soviets doesn't have useful stock units. Sadly Tank Hunter Tactics doesn't have none of them.

I got romeo to cast a game a while back using this commander :)

It has a decent demonstration, would have like to used the anti-tank volley more often but the chance didn't arise

Its a nice Fresh commander that is actually a lot of fun to play. Bigger games or small ones. :)

Finally used the Anti-tank bombing run in a ToW...

Knocked out about 30% health off a P4 and stunned it.
180munis just for that? You've got to be joking...

I remember when it was in testing the bombing run destroyed 2 tanks easily.

What a shame... the rest of the doctrine is just as bad.

^^

Still strikes me as a bit of a bad buy for 180 munis. The Il-2 normal bombing run costs about as much and ruins panzers...

What's a situation where this doctrine would actually work?

Could be something to do with Theatre of War maybe, I've not survived long enough with the doctrine to be able to use the bombing call in.

Wow that is a very interesting game to watch.
I believe Lenny could've won that pretty easily if he would've been a bit more careful having his tons of script squads a bit more active ie. decapping axis fuel and right vp more often especially in the mid to late game.

I wish that this fuel scavenging ability was add to more soviet commanders. That ability is just crazy.

That ability works well only if you already winning (successfully dealing with enemy vehicles).
It won't bring you back if you're losing (salvaging your own dead vehicles).
Therefore it falls under definition of win-more ability.

Hmm what about kubels, light vehicles, medium tanks.

I think it can be quite powerful if executed correctly.

PTRS need a major buff honestly. Perhaps more armor penetration to at least make it close to the RPGs and make Guards useful.
