Well if the beta actually had Elite Mod people would have an incentive to play the beta. As it gives a refreshed feel to the game. Now there is like no single feature in the Beta that encourages people to play it.
Yeah there was, but there were no games. The previous one also had no games. The problem is the small community. People dont want to wait for games, so they stay in the current version.
We would need some more support from relic, say a beta tournament. Okta did this with the previous version, but got no support.
Maybe there should be a tournament with your mod soon.

Elite mod 3.1
I really liked version 3.0 already. It's a great improvement to gameplay, just trying to make it better. But if it's not we'll simply revert to 3.0.
Changelog not updated yet. (but there is a notepad file in the download which tells the changes from 3.0 to 3.1)

wow, these are a lot of changes. I think the game is fine as is. yeah would be great to reduce snipers impact and fix bugs like stag, m10, etc. But just play the game.
I hear some of the elite (elitist) players complaining about this and that since the server move. This is the same version that produced many epic tourneys and games. There's no excuse. Just play. The level of play is fine. True sometimes you get matched to a noob or vice versa, but that was true with old server. I saw people streaming this weekend and saw many good, even match ups.
I have over 1000 games logged since server migration and maybe have had technical problems with 30 of them. Every once in a while you get a stag spammer, or troll, or whatever, big deal. I laugh and move on.
It's a game, a game that is going to be 10 years old before you know it. the community is already small. And all this talk about unplayable, mods, etc. splinters the groups even more. Just play. It works for me 95% of the time and usually in a 2-3 hour session I get at least 2 games that are challenging and keep me coming back for more.

It's a free choice wether you want to play the game with or without bug and balance fixes. The purpose of the mod is to bring more balance, a breath of fresh air and bug fixes to the game.
If you enjoy the current game, that's great for you. But it doesn't mean others do aswell. You can't force people to like something which they don't.
I personally prefer playing some games in Elite Mod from time to time. Because it's gameplay is superior even if it differs marginally from vCoh.

no worries, well said. I was just concerned because there's so much complaining about how the game has been unplayable since the server move. I'm glad I checked for myself because I haven't had any problems.

Would be nice if people match up and stream some games as well.
I haven't tried it but it would be nice to watch some games played to be able to observe the differences

I know the writers of this site were writing a little story about the development of Elite Mod. But it's seems it's not coming up.

Well, I should actually figure out an easier way to update, or make the files a little lighter. But then again: I'm lazy and it's probably not really worth it.
Version 3.1 was good though.
