I don't want to nitpick or anything but can you somehow select more carefully which ads are displayed here?

One is for a "Zip opener" that gets orange-flagged by my WOT (Web Of Trust) addon. Even if it isn't malware, it definately sounds like one.

Another one is in German for "The Newest Adult Game from Korea! 18+! Play for free!" and shows the face of an attractive woman constantly bobbing up and down. This one even gets blocked by WOT and you have to be a pretty big offender for that.

The only one I got that was clean was one for Lenovo.

I don't mind deactivating Adblock on sites I like but if those don't properly control what ads they are showing they are making it pretty hard not to reactivate it.

Edit: Now that I finished complaining about them all I get are ads for Groupon and Mymuesli (="mycereal") O.o
Edit2: Aaaand they're back.

Of course. However, they are also dependent on other things like the visitor's nationality or the settings of the website.
German nationality (non-English/US increases frequency of misplaced ads on English-speaking websites) plus a history of playing MMOs (or just being a gamer) can easily lead to that one ad. Among other things of course ;)

Still, the website owners can block certain ads. I heard that game ads with lots of suggestive content are hard to filter out, though.

Disabled, I love this site and want to keep on seeing it around. A few malware ads that slip through are caught by my AV and Ad-Aware. I schedule regular scans while I'm at work.....solves and catches everything

Cheers,

tbh if you take care of your comp you should be fine. run Anti virus and stuff and don't actually click on the ads. :P

Sorry to say this but I reactivated it again because of that War Thunder ad that was playing sounds of rifle/cannon shots every few seconds. Ads with sound, especially like this, are simply not acceptable.
I'd be happy to reactivate ads it if the site admins block that ad.

"Please stay tuned to this TV-channel, we will now bombard you with commercials for the next 5 minutes..."

Sorry had my fill with commercials flashing in my face saying i should play some browser game, while i am here to read about CoH2 news..

Maybe in the future, who knows?

This is simply a request to disable adblock on our site, we will never enforce a no-adblock policy. However, this community and site are all of ours and disabling adblock will help us provide more events, more tournaments, more great SNF action with bigger and better prizes, and will pay our bills. All that we ask is for you to disable your adblock and endure some fairly innocuous ads.

Thanks!

Done! :)

That was nice that you politely asked for it in the places adds would be displayed. Done :)

+1

I just get constant dating ads which I'd rather not have there on my lounge computer. I understand that google is working out something behind the scenes, but for some reason I never have these ads on any other website - they all try to sell me games, tech, etc, except for coh2.org

Also I haven't dated for 8 years.

Btw the Audi ad doesn't work - has no click-through. May be their problem not yours, no idea but thought I'd mention it.

Clearly you need an Audi to get it to work, that is the way they get you :L
