Am I allowed to ask you: when will the map list return, and when will we be able to see how many peeps are waiting for games?



That's the sort of stuff we're hoping to be able to add back in post CoH 2 launch, since it relies on the back end server we'll be using for CoH 2.

I would love to know more about the "back end server we'll be using for CoH 2". So you weren't able to do what you wanted with COH2 on Steam because of limitations of Steam servers? What limitations? What will this back-end server do and who will host it?

Well, to me that makes a lot of sense. CoH2 is not ready yet. As soon as it is ready, vCOH can also use some of the server functionality, developed for CoH2, like map list.
Priority is clear, first all manpower on COH2, then, if there is time, they will look if they can use part of that code/functionality also to add back some features to vCOH that is currently lacking.

I would rather say - not limitations of steam server, you can implement pretty anything - tho it would take a lot of reprogramming.

Using same kind of servers as COH1 had again reduces amount of time and effort for the transfer and hopefully ads that to support COH1 later on.

Please fix CoH when you have time. ONE last patch to get it back to where it was.

It is very close to USELESS at the moment! :(

i really hope so. Question is will there be a big enough player pool by then to get games.

It's really difficult now unless you're playing 16-24:00 GMT

there are not many players playing coh for now - most of the old players just cant be pissed to play coh any more - its god damn awfull - drop hacks 24/7 and ENORMOUS waiting times for a game....

It wasn't that bad but past 1 week or so I've noticed a really big downturn. Think with the launch of open beta, a lot of people moved over. Will be curious once free open beta is over, how many people come back.

But not even sure how much it matters how many people are playing. I logged in yesterday with 100 people in GR rooms and thought oh cool, I'll get a quick game. 1 hour later, nothing, simple 1v1 mind you. Not trying for anything crazy.

It's got to be broken the match making system. Multiple people were complaining they couldn't get games and they were close to my lev.

the drop hacks, well, until they penalize for it, it is the new norm.

Other night out of 15 games over 4 hours, I had 3 real games, the rest were instant drops at load up screen.

At least we can still play. I been spending more time trying to find similar ranked players, and then you just have to play them in skirmish or basic match because odds are you will not get a decent game in auto.

Or it could be the fact that the Downfall clip is so overused it gives the word 'cliché' a run for its money.
