I made a fountain (with action markers etc.) and I want the fountain sound to be there.
I also want fire sounds and ambient life sounds. Birds, dogs, I found those but I don't know how to use it

And distant machine gun fire.
How do I add this?

A word to the wise, as much as the notion of ambient sounds is appealing, once the music of a level starts, and gunfire is heard in the background (regardless of how quiet your current area of the map is), you will never hear ambient sounds.

Use action markers with sound_attach instead of FX_attach. You can then place the sound near the fountain for the trickle, but as it was mentioned you can't even hear it - I've tried. Some sounds are louder than others, some only play once and don't loop, some play constantly. It's HARD to find a sound that works properly.
