I don't care that much about realism in COH2. I care more about balance.

If one wants to remain a purist, I would have gotten rid of the Ostwind and Brummbar doctrinal. These would be replaced it with what was far more common: a self propelled quad 20mm on a truck and a stuH42 or manhandled infantry gun.

All these rare units like the Ostwind and Brummbar would be call-ins.

I'm not defending Relic's discussion, but where's the line on these suggestions?

Besides, that's still quite a bit more action than the T26 or IS3. The T26 blew up one or two tanks, and the IS3 only took part in Russia's Victory Day Parade.

If relic adds the "Super Pershing" then i want another rare gun for the Germans:
The 128mm-Flak-Zwilling 40 to Counter the super Pershing. It was a bigger Version of the FlaK 88 from CoH I only in a twin Version. It was mainly used as an anti-aircraft gun.

I heard about a rare and unique case where this rare Flak gun were used as a improvised anti-tank gun to stop an enemys tank attack that came down from a hill at the end of WW2.I heard a Crew of this twin flak destroyed about 3 or 4 tanks with it.

It had a 128mm double-twin gun and a Barrel lenght about 8000mm.Because it was a Special twin cannon it could reach 28 rounds per Minute.

I would laugh the shit out of myself if relic would add this hilarious Flak cannon as a 1 time unique anti-tank-gun build to Counter something like a super Pershing or IS-2.:DHAHAHAHA that would be hilarious - the actual Pak 43 would be a joke compared to it.

Super Pershing can come if i get this crazy gun for the Germans.:nahnah:

Now honestly.I sometimes think that These extreme rare Special Things like super Pershing, Sturer Emil or the 128mm-Flak-Zwilling 40 might be a bit over the top.:megusta:

If the Super Pershing is added, then we should get Maus Tanks. After all, 1 Super Pershing was in Europe, and 1 Maus Tank was in Europe. And the Soviets would get the IS-3 as well, since they were going to be used but then "they won the war too fast".

It would be cool to play as USA and have the super tank for a change...

Maus tanks did not fight.

The Super Pershing could be available in the 'Advanced US' doctrine.

It'll be the US version of the Tiger Ace.

It's not much of a stretch- the Expansion's flagship unit didn't do much at all during the war and unlike the Super, probably didn't even destroy a single tank.

so don't feel bad when the Super Pershing commander for the low price of $3.99 comes out and knocks out the Westheer King Tiger...

Westheer still have the Jagdtiger. The main gun of that Thing had Punched through a complete house and destroyed a tank behind it.

It's not about that we don't want core units. It's not about how super pershing was rare. It's about Tiger II, Jagdtiger and way to counter them. I don't expect pershing can stand against them that's why super perhing is something US need in late game.
So, stop showing the rarest WW2 things (cause it's not about that!) it's about balance!
PS
Why Super Pershing should be limited while Tiger II and Jagdtiger (I guess) won't be??

Then the Americans should deal with them like they did in real life, 76mm armed Shermans / Hellcats with High Velocity Armour Piercing rounds and 90mm armed M36 Jacksons.

@PS Because the there was more than one Tiger II or Jagdtiger in World War II.

But CoH is not about realism. It's about balance. I hardly can imagine using 3 types of units to destroy just one.

Using so weaker units is useless. Before they reach Tiger II/Jagdtiger and flank it, some other units that cover Tiger II will destroy them.
____
It will like with Elephant. Properly set and secure was unbeateble. Now when soviets have ISU that can manage.
Without Super Pershing, Jadtiger will be also unbeateble if properly set.

If the brits are added or not but used as commanders do they get the comet tank and the centurion tank.

I know a comet destroyed a tiger this is from a german source.

The centurion was shipped over to Germany just as the war ended, but didn't see any action.
Also this tank is considered the first MBT ever produced and pound for pound better than any tank in ww2.

No you misunderstood. It's not about "3 types of units to destroy just one", it's "3 types of units that can destroy one". The 76mm HVAP shots and 90mm gun would be able to take on Panthers and Tigers as well as or better than the T-34/85. Side note, it would also be able to destroy the T-34/85, as we learned in the Korean War.

These 'super-tanks' should come with draw-backs... frequent breakdowns for example.

Ok but I still don't get why you don't want to see some equal units to Tiger II/Jagdtiger? Why US have to manage with them with units that have only 100mm armor (Jagdtiger 250mm)?
If Germans can have such a beasts why US cannot?

What you could do for breakdowns is have a timer that flashes over your tank as it move, once over a certain threshold the tank receives an engine overheat which lasts for 5-10 seconds maybe...?
