Genre: FPS
Release: June 13
Engine: Cryengine 3
SP: 10 hours
MP: Team based

Syn:
Robert Hawkins is an American war correspondent who is caught up with various Resistance groups across Europe during the Second World War. Along the way he finds help in the form of a no nonsense British Commando and a femme fatale French Resistance fighter. The game is played through his flashbacks and will include real historical events, some of it highlighting Nazi atrocities committed in Europe. It also visits theatres of war, such as Poland and Norway, which have remained largely untouched by mainstream media and especially WW2 video games.

Text from the official website describes the game:[4]

"...the first truly modern WW2 FPS, featuring stunning visuals, open-ended levels and a richly interactive combat experience that breaks out of the standard model of highly linear scripted FPS experiences, giving the player full freedom to own their playing style. Intense Combat, Sniping, Stealth and Sabotage – all are viable approaches for the player, maximizing player engagement and replayability.

Against the visceral backdrop of breathtaking European locales, the player takes on the role of American war correspondent Robert Hawkins, as he fights hand in hand with Resistance Fighters opposing the Nazi juggernaut in France, Germany, Norway, and during the Warsaw Uprising."

Is there any good shooter from an axis or "neutral" point of view?

In is not the typical WW2 allied shooter.

You play a journalist, who gets involved with the resistances of different countries. The game is more focused on sabotage and small scale combat rather than large scale scenarios.

Seems interesting, especially since BF3 or BF4 don't have modding support.

Maybe adds more background story to it, but from what i have read, the journalist becomes a rambo soldier in the end. Maybe it will change and turn out to be good.

I watched once a youtube video about a mod for ARMA, which was a fully game to buy on steam. There you take command of a german platoon on the eastern front, leading your soldiers through the battle. I forgot the name though.

Lets hope so, tbh thought I don't mind if you become a rambo as long as the missions are interesting.

Here are some observations so far.

- The AI will walk out of windows or off high ledges and fall to their death to try and path find to the player
- The AI shoots through walls and objects ignoring LOS
- There are missing textures all over the place
- There are collision traps everywhere
- NPC's heads do not track the player so they talk to thin air if the player moves
- There are red barrels near every German unit
- No toggle aim
- Only 1 map works in multiplayer

The developer has said they will drop a patch to address a lot of issues.
