After playing several games post latest patch I have come to the conclusion that grens have become too strong now.
Just keep them in cover and let the cons close in losing 1 or two models on their way in. This gets even worse against grens with lmg42/G43. Both are strong in all ranges. Both weapons need to be toned down. Decrease the damage. In order to compensate relic could also decrease the upgrade cost.
Other possible solutions:
Upgrade cost + damage reduction for LMG42. LMG42 also replaces the riflegrenade ability by a suppression ability. This ability supresses but doesn't pin. It has a high cooldown to prevent spamming.
Upgrade cost + damage reduction for G43. Only one G43 per squad and the G43 replaces the riflegrenade ability by a snipe ability. This ability has a high amunition cost and high cooldown to prevent spamming.
P.S.
What I forgot to mention is the ability of upgrading both weapons for a squad. This should not be possible imo

Losing with a commander with G43 is really embarrassing for the german player in this patch.
Even with the free one, without tiger or tiger ace.
