So after 10 or so years they released a sequel. I've always been into Heroes of might and magic myself but I gotta say this game is pretty amazing. Solid and polished release, no glitches no bugs. If you are into TBS games this game is a must.

I recommend Fallen Enchantress with the expansion instead, better AI and more features. http://www.elementalgame.com/legendary-heroes

Both mentioned games are rly good. FE is a bit cheaper because of its current age but AOW3 looks just so damn beautiful =)

AoW3 is just amazing, great tactical combat, lots of abilities to both units and heroes, very distinctive classes, aggressive AI, great visuals and soundtrack, with even more content (races and classes) to come in the future. You won't be wrong with it if you have any interest in turn-based strategies, especially fantasy themed and focused on combat, exploration and expansion.

No inherent game controller support AFAIK, but there are programs that emulate mouse movement into controller, so I guess it should be workable even in this one.
