I'm pretty cheesed at the game for the moment. Loaded up SC2 and will be giving that a shot for a bit. Anyho, update.

All vehicles have seen some adjustment, whether it be a minor or major change. The T34-85 is no exception.

Sounds like it'll be a pimping patch. However, minor adjustments to small arms profiles are taking too long and have made me go 'meh'.

The balance team just finalized a 14 page document for the upcoming update. The typical update is 3-5 pages, last update was 8. Let's be honest Napalm, if we just adjusted small arms then Soviets might be even for the first 10 minutes but they will still struggle in the mid to late game.

Great to hear, very optimistic about this patch, especially the acknowledgement of the fact that Soviet mid/late game has been inferior for a long time now.

Can't wait to have a genuine choice between two even factions with different strategic options on the table.

Hopefully, this time, if something turns out to be horribly imbalanced again, they can hotfix it within a week instead of waiting for the next big patch milestone.

This.

8 pages change the whole game already.
What will it be with 14...

Quantity does not necessarily mean quality.

germans are not that op as ppl are saying. in that case im afraid of soviets being op again next patch.

ps. i hope they do a balance based on 1v1s and not on 3s or 4s.

No need for justification. Relic does a great job in patching the game. Each patch brought coh2 forward, no one can deny that. I am glad to hear that Soviet AT is going to be buffed. Maybe we see some minor inf adjustments as well, then coh2 is ready for 2 new armies!

I agree. But from my perspective, Soviets are currently more limited in their strategic options than before the last patch.

Very damn true. Are we allowed to be a little impatient? Piecing together the little hints you've dropped all over the place has been fun and builds excitement.

I've got an idea for the future. Within a week it was identified that there were some major balancing issues, after two weeks it was really set in stone. Perhaps conducting small iterations would be a better approach instead of having to wait until the next large patch? This would only apply to serious game balance issues. I'll tell you why I brought this up.

Looking at my direct group of pals I play with 4/6 are currently on hiatus. Thinking big picture, how many others are as well? I hope that after this is all said and done that Relic would consider another free to play weekend and try to get some new blood into the game. I'm afraid of the churn rate.

Avoiding results like the poll below would be a good thing in my opinion.

Huzzah, soviet tanks will no longer be battering rams!
Now they can be actual tanks!

Just like in the real WW2!

I predict that balancing is going to be going like this for the next TWO patch cycles.

lol, I'm fed up with hearing this.
If each patch brought coh2 forward, the game should be awesome now.
Is it ?

It's so awesome that they decide to change everything, one year after release.
