Permanently BannedRail train artillery is a big joke compared to what is real, and looks the cost, and since an atomic grenade finishes with a whole house in 2 seconds.
Others grenades are a pussy comparing with it...
Need more damage to all big guns! Just one have this damage is OP.

A 5kg explosive charge that is thrown from extremely small range?
You know, the thing that is NOT a grenade?

Permanently BannedWhat are you whining about in particular?

They thrown like a grenade to me... But Ok, a explosive with 5KG.
Look at the difference in damage caused by guns in this game, is a beautiful example, the artillery train has a bullet of 7 tons, and in practice works well worse than this explosive grenade thrown equals 5 kg.
Put 500 muni to use the rail artillery, but, make this do damage like a bit on real life, please!
This is for all weapons, just a great example.

There are literally 2 units that can't escape it, MGs that just started setting up when satchel landed already and tanks with destroyed engines.
Anything else, its your own micro mistake.
And since conscripts suck donkey balls and penals are finally usable this patch, get used to dodging satchels.

While we do our best to be historically authentic we also want to make a fun game. So while we use historical information to design the game things won't always be 100% accurate otherwise it would not be fun to play. If the Germans lost the majority of games, because it was historically authentic, then that would not be good game design.
We do our best to keep all armies interesting to play, and with equal chance of achieving victory.

Then let me quote Nouns post from official forums:

yeah its confusing that the heavy soviet howitzer has the same Explosion then the railway gun:
Even though the voice says it is, the Railway Artillery is not Schwerer Gustav. The shell that comes down is only slighter larger than the B-4 203mm, probably around 240 - 280, which would probably make the Railway Gun a 24cm "Theodor Karl" or a 28 cm "Bruno" although I don't know if those were used in the East. Anyway the shell is about the size of a human leg, whereas a Schwerer Gustav shell would be twice as large as a man.
For in-game comparison, there is an unfinished model in the game of a train car with Schwere Gustav shells in it, here is it compared to the actual Railway Artillery shell:
