I stopped using the IS2. Just an awful unit that begs to be called primary target. Can be countered with two shrek squads. Much power, so slow, dead, wow.

Saying IS2 is too expensive is pretty a joke or thinking getting an IS2 after teching up and having some tanks.

Consspam, shock spam into IS2 is totally a bitch strategy. (but I use it anyway :lol:)

Mines and AT nade will do, just stop the pio reaching the HT can stall it all day long,ofc keep getting cutoff and fuel as primary target.

It works. And it is a bitch strat had a guy use it on my two different times. Con Spam to Shocks to 3x Zis to KV8 Attack move blob to base lose majority of force call in IS2 to clean up whats left.

And he had enough AT nades to sit in my HTs fire and AT nade it to death while taking little damage.

It's a decent tactic which I have both played myself and faced against me. It's good versus german T3 builds because P4s don't do a whole lot vs KV8s and stugs are bad vs mass field guns.

What beats it is a combination of german T4 and (optionally) a commander with either a mortar halftrack or the light artillery barrage ability.

It is all about the killzones. If you can defend a position well enough, it can kill any unit. Two IS-2's, a field gun, some shocks and CE for repairs can go a long way in defending an unflankable position. The only possible way to kill an elefant is to flank it and destroy its engines, and then its toast. I charged two IS-2's at an elefant, incinedary bombed the surrounding paks and one lucky IS-2 shot stunned the elefant. Instant rape pursued as it was overtaken. Do not underestimate the power of the Soviets, sometimes. Other times, the soviets are toast.

Gee thanks for the nugget of truth. Too bad he trusight flanked me and hit it with an AT nade since he did have 8 scripts on the field. Then its just throw the rest of the AT nades till its dead.

I do it all the time. In fact AT nades is all i usually kill Flame HTs with. It just takes three. I dont even bother with Guards.

Its not as easy as you think to manage fighting all those Scripts and NOT getting an AT nade on a HT due to its pathing.....

Yeah you have a whole 5 range over the AT Nade. That's more than the length it takes the Half-Track to stop moving after it gets into attack range. In-game it's barely the length of a T-70. 5 range is nothing when it comes to charging at something to grenade it, and if you can kite with just a buffer zone of 5, then you should probably play in the tournaments because even MNF players constantly get Engine Damage on their FHT.

The Soviet played like shit but still manage to stall an hour game, continuos wiping out German squad with their super high health & instant squad wipe units, without any skill involved.

Does Ostheer have flame 251? Yes
Does Ostheer have heavy tanks? Yes, Brummbar and Panther

Tech up? Who cares? Get IS2 MVGame

If he didn't throw resource away for KV8 and get 2nd IS2, he won the game already.

If Soviet can hold out half of the map and keep harassing cutoff and fuel, IS2 can come into party (without any teching) while Ostheer can throw out a P4 only 1-2 mins before IS2 arrive. IMO, that doctrine is totally madness. Every time if I play like shit in early game, I just grab that doctrine and grab an easy win after that.

I had a game of 2v2 with both me and my partner doing that, ends up 6 IS2 roflstomp everything in Semois. :lol:

Ironically the skill with the IS-2 is keeping it alive rather than wrecking face with it. It has high armour, damage, etc. But the comparatively low health is a weak point that can easily be exploited if you fuck up.

I totally vote against a Pershing with KT armor, and the croc Churchill with turret plus KT armor. It just make the game ridiculous.

The heading says it all. IS2 are you kidding me?

The tank is so expensive! The time between the shot’s is so long. It often misses complete. Btw I never had a squad wipe with this tank since the last patch. But more often it simply misses everything. Worst thing a single panther can handle it. The cheaper Tiger also.
