German vanguard reaching a tiny suburb of Moscow and having captured the end of the bus line that would go straight to Red Square. They held it for 13 hours on december 6th of 1941. The very next day the Russian Winter counter offensive started.

Can't imagine how they must have felt at that moment

British flame-throwing tanks were used against German troops in Rosmalen, East of s'Hertogenbosch, and the result can be seen in this photograph from the air. On the left of the picture is a German Red Cross train intact.
