Have you considered playing with them and finding out? ;)

Mobility is the key. Also MHT has incendiary barrage and get's to use panzer smoke.

MHT can fire on the move.
Incendiary barrage is hardcounter to all setup teams.

Lol, of course I've played both... o.0

I havent posted incendiary barrage because I though it was an obvious advantage of the MHT.
I was asking if there are ROF, damage, or AoE differences, if you read my post correctly.

All mortars have same 80 damage, even 120mm always had 80 dmg.

AoE is same as all other mortars except 120mm.

The normal german mortar got a rate of fire increase a few patches ago, this buff did not apply to the halftrack.

IMO one of the biggest advantages of the mortar halftrack is its ability to withstand enemy mortar fire, making it a very easy, hands-free way to soviet mortars.

If by always you mean since 2 patches ago, yes. Previous it hit for (get ready), 120.

Yeah... I kinda miss that broken 120mm. Many laughs were had at the germans expense =)

Yeah, you're right... I also kinda miss that insta-pin MG42. Many laughs were had at the Soviets' expense. :)

We are talking about apples, why are you derailing with bananas?

No you cant. If firing on the move with the MHT was ever a thing, its not anymore. Im using that thing quite frequently and have never noticed a single shot being fired while its moving.

It can fire on the move but I'm pretty sure the attack animation has to already have started (the two guys start loading the shell into the tube).

Invis'd a bunch of OT stuff.
One difference between the two mortars is that the MHT is much better against snipers. You can plop down an incendiary barrage where you suspect the snipers are, which will force them to retreat or die.
Does anyone know if the MHT is one of those vehicles that can't receive an abandoned crit?
