Have you ever wondered how much fuel the ISU-152 costs, how much population a pak43 uses or the duration of a strafing run? And have you ever wondered how many commanders have the shock troops? Or recon runs? We got the answer for you.

The commander tool 2014-02-19

The commander tool is a web based tool that allows you to display all commanders in the live game environment, along with abilities and costs. This allows you to compare commanders faster and think about what to put in your load out.

If you are using two screens, or got a portable device you can also use this during games to get a better feel of what the opponent is bringing into the game. And if he uses any ability that gives away the commander choice, you can see what abilities he get from that commander, and what you can expect later on during the game.

The commander tool is a work in progress and features may be added along the way. It will be updated to be in phase with patches as soon as possible. The commander tool currently has the following features:

  • Display all commanders in game
  • Display commanders in a single or multiple rows
  • Display abilities, call in units and their cost in
    • Munitions
    • Fuel
    • Manpower
    • Population
    • Duration if applicable

If you have any comments or feedback, please leave it here. We also accept feature request but make no promises to if they will be added.

Last, a huge thanks to wooof for your help with game files, images and feedback!

A number of the CP costs are wrong, either in the current build or in the beta.

Certainly a very nice tool, though. :)

Cool stuff! Nice work, though there is a couple of spelling errors such as "Lightning War" commander and I'm pretty sure the German "Air Supply" Commander is called the Luftwaffe commander?

Seriously, some of them are just impossible to tell apart judging from their illustration.

Fixed some (probably not all) spelling errors and misnamed stuff. Sometimes when referring to a cell internally in the database it's not the same name as the "Human Readable" name presented in the interface. Hence "Luftwaffe" <> "Air Supply" mixup! :P

Aight, got some CP changes into the database, but will take another hour or so before it hits the site.

Also, you can see the duration of some abilities now.

Btw, I only express my "toxic" opinion in threads talking about the state of the game or the community. I don't go to strategy or modders forums to troll.

these guys invested a lot of time and effort into making a tool to help the community. they dont need to hear your complaints about unrelated things they have no control over.

keep up the good work guys.

wooof, I didn't intended to be critic or make a complaint whit that commentary, just the opposite in fact.

The tool is really useful because I can't tell apart the commanders in-game and with this at least I can see which abilities can use my opponents.
Commander portraits seem all the same for me, guys with moustache for the soviet and angry looking guys with helmet for the germans.
Relic illustrators should work a bit more in giving them distinctive traits to each one of them.

Anyway, thank for your work, guys!

Agree that many of the portraits need to be more distinct. At least the more recently released commanders look diffrent.

Thanks for the support guys!
