Multiple times now I've mentioned that there was content in the files possibly relating to the Attrition gamemode Relic released for CoH 2, and multiple times I copped out of a source. Realizing that I had probably ought to back up my claims, I did some digging of my own.
Thanks to Janne252's Release of the Essence Archive Viewer, I discovered that the references to the Attrition gamemode still exist in the attrib.sga file (as of 12/08/2023):
As you can see, there are also references to the CoH 1 Panzerkrieg gamemode, which I'd also love to see.
The full path is:
Company of Heroes 3\anvil\archives\attrib.sga\multiplayer\match_type\

Panzerkrieg was sort of brought back in mod form by this current/ex-developer - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3000751615
And it's accompanying tuning pack - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3000751560
So I have the sneaking suspicion that either this person was working on it before leaving Relic or they're just leftover files for the future perhaps.
There's loads of other unfinished content in the game, especially in terms of unit references, so anything is possible really.

I would pay cash money to hear why The Quban is not at Relic anymore. Seriously, this person seems to be the most in touch with the player base of anyone. Clearly more in touch than the management at Relic. Everything they have done has been what I would have done to make the game good. They deserve so much adulation.
Quban, Thank You for your hard work. You have made and continue to make coh3 worth playing. I hope you are on your way to a new career somewhere making RTS games because you "get it".
